Alfie was a special guest of Michael Ball at The Proms, from The Royal Albert Hall on Monday 27th August 2007. Alfie performed "Torna a Surriento" a neapolitan aria from his forthcoming album "La Passione" due out in October 07
What can I say? A voice in any range this man can sing. I love him like a son. His voice his mannerism, The word I am thinking now is perfect in every way.
Don't forget the orchestra is miked, too. You sing as close as you feel comfortable, and let the sound engineers work it out. "Great. Yeah. Follow that." lol

but why is Alfie singing so close to the microphone? ... i mean almost kissing it. with a powerful voice like that, don't you think he ought to have stepped back a little?
