Alfie Boe & Michael Ball singing 'A Thousand Years'' & 'Love changes Everything' at the 02 Arena London 14.12.17 on the last night of their 'Together Again Arena Tour 2017'
I first heard Michale Ball in the tragically underrated "Aspects of Love". I fell a little in love with him, and this was a really wonderful rendition of this song.
They really do beautifully together. Ball has subtle phrasing and emotion. Boe has power, range, that he can harness back when he wants to. They take different approaches and make the combination work.
They performed together on stage on the staged Les Mis concert, Alfie was Veljean and Michael was Javert, he was Marius in the original production of Les Mis.
These 2 are amazing, massive Alfie boe fan but also a fan of good old michael ❤ absolutely outstanding had a smile on my face the while time, thanks for sharing this video
MusicVidsBJG Michael studied theater but never had singing lessons. That amazes me. Alfie went to the Royal Opera - after being a car mechanic for years.
Thank you so much for sharing this. Living in the other end of the world, your videos are truly a gem. Sincerely a great fan of MB for 30+ years and now fan of AB too.
what a great sense of humor these too have!! i'm sure it was hard being together 18 months and trying to be SERIOUS to record ;) glad you 2 somehow got together; you compliment each other to its fullest! both beautiful voices that you give and share your greatest for each audience you perform in front of. WELL DONE michael and alfie ;) betty gordon, ames, iowa, usa ... new fan of you both in last 2 weeks!
This is my favourite clip currently, and the saucy (unrehearsed) joke they share at 6.50 is so sweet the way they both see it at the same time. The brotherhood and bond these two have is so inspiring and touching.❤💕
@@clairiceholmes7397 Hi Clarice. Yes I know he likes to be saucy all the time, I follow him avidly! I think what I meant to say was unrehearsed, because of Alfie's look if surprise!😂😉
THANK YOU LINDA ONCE AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR AMAZING VIDEOS TO BAD THE TOUR IS ENDING.I LOVED IT ALL.HOW MANY CONCERTS DID YOU SEE? I ADORE MICHEAL FOR MANY YEARS.I AM ENJOYING ALFIE TOO
Linda Wellington Great videos. Can I ask, were you videoing from the very front row, right in the middle? I’ve never been to a concert before, let alone a Boe Ball Concert. Never been to a big arena so I’m wondering if videoing from the 3rd row back from the very front would still be decent enough..what do you think? I’m not thee tallest of people so bit concerned about being able to see properly over peoples shoulders and recording decent footage. I didn’t even know phones were allowed in arenas to be honest. I really want decent footage like what you have. Are you always sat in a VIP Package area? Also, what time do concerts generally finish? thanks
Linda how many times have you seen Michael and Alfie, i am a big fan of them both, i seen Alfie live but not Michael but i would love to see them both i might be going in December if everything is ok with Covid
These two are GREAT together. I can’t BELIEVE that Hugh Jackman was chosen over Alfie Boe to play Jean Valjean in the movie. Jackman was good but My God, Alfie Boe is the better voice by a long shot!
@@kathyandjimpullaro522 Agree a far superior voice to Hugh Jackman, but when it comes to putting "bums on seats" Hugh Jackman wins hands down and is a world star. Same reason Audrey Hepburn was picked over Jujlie Andrews for My Fair Lady movie..
Linda, you said none of their concerts are on DVD but I saw a cameraman pass in front of you in this video. Do you know who was filming the concert? If it wasn't for a DVD, I wonder what it was for.
@@LindaWellington Thanks. I never thought about how they did that. I guess I just assumed it was done by some sort of permanent camera installations. Was this the concert that was meant to be shown in the cinema? If so, a video must exist. somewhere - which gives me hope for an eventual DVD release.
I just realized this couldn't be the concert that was to be shown in theaters, as it is from 2017. If it was going to be released as a DVD they would have done it already. Darn!
