Karma is a weird thing in all fairness what he did to Keane was no different to what a lot of defenders do but what Keane did was beyond football but without that mentality Keane wouldn’t of been the player he is but the last laugh is Haalands because the thing that means the most to Keane is united and now he has to watch them be decimated and haaland jr will be banging in goals for city for years funny old world.
With the form Haaland is in, looks like his legacy can live on in what might become the greatest Norwegian footballer of all time (edit, returning to this comment 8 months later after erling broke several scoring records and won a treble so yeah looks like he’s clear of Olé already at the age of 23 lol)
@@vlaicurabca6987 solksjaer never had a season as good as haaland seasons in Salzburg and Dortmund Fun fact: in less than half a season haaland has scored more than any of solksjaer's full seasons
That kick from Roy Keane was criminal. Really unfair he did not get the punishment that fits the horror of that tackle. Am glad haaland seems tonhave moved on and has been rewarded by having a world class striker for a son
It's because he had to quit that he trained his son to become a footballer.. Parents sometimes live through their kids and put their dreams on them, without the kid ever knowing.
@@mcmeat507 tf?? Don't you have eyes bro? Haaland did nothing. In the first incident roy keane hit haaland. It wasn't intentional from haaland. And he just said stop pretending which is absolutely normal. There is no need for revenge or bullshit! Roy keane should be punished for that horror tackle
I'm a United fan, but this guy is a real nice person, and it would be real sad to see his son playing great football against us.. though would like to wish him the best and a great long career ahead..
@@yellyman5483 no he didn't. He was born in Leeds, his father played for Leeds and Manchester City. Two big rivals of United. He was never going to United.
@@barryb90 You talk as if Haaland was a Brit. He is a Norwegian. Ole managed him when he played for Ole in Molde FC. Of course he would have gone to United when Ole was there.
That’s absolutely crazy, i’m a man utd fan from france since 98 and a 98/99 shirt gift from london by my cousin. I love Roy Keane and his personality but BUT BUT this created a monster, keane vs haaland father, and then the phenomemon norwegian viking son signed for the rivals. I’m afraid for man utd defenders when they will face him, revenge for the father is a thing that anybody who loves his father will do, even facing death so imagine on the field… By the way, awful management since Sir Alex departure, there’s no more red devils and theatre of dreams…
Håland wont revenge his father ,its not kindergarden. They are pro players. He almost went to Manchester United 2 years ago when you played well. But the club didt wanted to give him the same as Dortmund gave him.

keano's head is a weird space...this disgusting premeditated assault, walking out on Ireland in 2002, slapping shearer then needing his teammates to hold him back from being knocked the F out and to hold on to a grudge with sir Alex for decades. No other profession would have welcomed him back to the forefront.
@@RaseYourProbs If Shearer was going to knock Keane out . Why didnt he do it there and then.. another Keane basher.. wonder what team you support.. thought you lot are more into cricket .
@@michaelahern6821 it's 2022, racist stereotypes aren't cool anymore, but I'll look past that.. to answer your question plain and simple, unlike keane he was much too smart to be a liability to his team mates. He doesn't down the tools and whine when things don't go his way. He's a proper professional.
When Keane got injured in '97 it was because HE challanged Haaland. Keane's injury wasn't Haalands fault, it was just a by-product of a rash challenge by Keane in which he did damage to his own ligament whilst trying to foul Haaland. Therefore there was no need for revenge regarding the injury itself. If Kean's reason for revenge is because Haaland shouted something to him while he was on the ground, then I think that is a pathetic and disgraceful reason for trying to break Haaland's leg. Pathetic, disgraceful and completely unjustified. I bet Keane is gutted now that Haaland's son plays for City because every time Keane is a TV pundit for a City game he (and the rest of the Country) will be reminded of what a totally 'shit bag' thing he did. He should be embarrassed for the rest of his life.
Absolutely. If Haaland injured himself trying to take out Keane, you know full well Keane would have been shouting crap to Haaland about trying to take him out. This is Keane needing to generate an enemy to justify playing angry.
I'm surprised none of Haaland's teammates did anything to him. Had I been one of his mates, I would have whacked his face off irrespective of the consequences to be followed. That's the most inhumane thing that Keane did to Haaland.
Haaland told him to "get up you fking cheat" and Keane never forgot that. "don't ever call me a fking cheat again" is what Keane said to him when he stood over Haaland. Funny too how Haaland changes his story all the time on this. In another interview he says that Keanes tackle had absolutely no bearing on why he had to retire. He said the injury that retired him had happened well before this and that the Keane tackle had just confirmed to him that his body couldn't take it anymore.
Haaland also said in one of the interviews that he will love playing against Utd, ofcourse the kid will love to destroy the squad and will definitely give more than 100%. With Utd already on the road to rebuild its squad it will be tough for them to play against an already overpowered City. I just hope Martinez plays against him the same way he did earlier, Utd will definitely need a lot of luck because Haaland is a beast.
@@rubens4318 or maybe......just maybe...He doesn't want to play for a club that cannot get a champions league spot anymore. I dont know......Beats me.🙄

I heard that Alf carried on playing after that injury, real shame. I liked Keane as a player and as a Pundit. But going above the knee in a challenge like that is a disgrace and ending a man's dream career like that is even worse.
@@mellowfellow7604 Keane injured himself kicking Haaland off the ball lol. That's why Haaland was pissed off at him. Go watch the incident. It was off the ball, Haaland slightly blocked him off, Keane kicked him and injured himself. Keane is a vile thug. What's disgusting about those incidents is the Man City players doing shit when Keane went to say something to Haaland when he was injured, what a bunch of pussies. Keane was a ~30 year old man at the time. Then bragged about in his book, saying stuff like "I hit the cunt" yada yada. A pure thug. What kind of man talks like that and holds a grudge for 4 years then violently assaults someone?
Let's get one thing straight though a lot of people are saying that because Keane did this to Haaland it stopped Erling Haaland signing for United but honestly that's not the reason. The reason Erling Haaland chose city and wouldn't go to United is because he has ambition, wants to win trophies and doesn't want to play for a club that's finished.
@@maxwelkariuki6002 Tell me can you even point to Manchester on a map from your armchair halfway across the world Mr Kariuki? I live 1 mile from The Etihad and about 5 miles from Old Trafford.
@@philleotardo8923 The only reason your club is relevant is because UAE bought it for their sports washing operation. It's why any trophy you win has a huge asterisk attached to it, why your stadium is always half empty and why you don't have any genuine rivalries in the league. Your club is just a toy thing for human rights abusers, and an empty shell, just like Chelsea, PSG and Newcastle. I would ba embarrassed supporting the club if I were you.
The second best thing about Erling Haaland signing for City is being able to watch Roy Keane squirm on Sky TV every time he appears as a pundit for a City match. In their post-match round up on Sunday (after City played West Ham) he appeared very uncomfortable talking about Erling Haaland and seemed as though he just wanted to get off the subject and move on (by only giving short, brief answers then letting one of the other pundits take over.) Later on in the post-match chat, Alfie Haaland was mentioned in relation to him being at the match to see his son score twice. The rest of the Sky Sports team were talking openly about it but Roy Keane just went into 'shut-down' as if he just wanted them to stop. Even when they jokingly mentioned it to Keane he just remained silent and looked embarrassed as if he just wanted them to stop talking about it, he looked very uncomfortable indeed. I'm going to enjoy watching him squirm like this every time City are live on Sky. It's an added bonus for me and almost makes up for Gary Neville's inept and childlike commentary in his monotonous droning voice.
You’re seeing things that aren’t there, its called delusion to fit your narrative of what you want to see. In reality, keane doesn’t care one bit, hes not a united fan. And this was football back then, stop crying, he shouldn’t have got in keanes face 😂he got crunched for it, that was football back then. Deal with it
@@michaelahern6821 Calm down mate, no need to get agitated, you know I'm right about Keane being uncomfortable when it comes to Haaland. Put your dummy back in and stop trying to sniff Keane's arse.

Never got why Kean was angry Alfie he injured himself trying to foul Alfie he did it to himself and for anyone saying he shouldn’t give stick to a player who is badly injured Kean just tried to foul him it backfired and in my opinion he had it coming after all the dirty shit he did to other players he fucked himself the had the cheek to then try and end another man career
Keane held the grudge since Alfie stood over him & shouted abuse when he had ruined his knee. Keane missed an entire season thinking about that moment.
Keane was almost always a lost case, he lost his cool against Shearer and Vieira, and a lot of Utd fans view those moments as something to be proud about, it was nothing but embarrassing
Keane does show some psychopath traits, not only from this incident but also his feudes with other players and his irrational comments on current football.
@@pgrothschild no it wasn't , you pay for ur deeds , the way haaland reacted would have made anyone furious and a machine like Roy Keane always remembered and avenged things on pitch , not like the humble boi Sr, Haaland now
As an Irishman I find this appalling. Especially since Keane has not shown any form of remorse. How he’s hailed a hero in some quarters is beyond me and the greatest player the country has produced. Ahead of the Brady, McGrath, The Two Whelan’s ect ect. Keane’s tacked was a cowardly low act.
I'm Irish and I too agree with Haaland in that it was sad for football. There was no need for Haaland to have leaned over a prostrate player saying anything, but it was indeed sad for football, and it doesn't take bravery to commit a tackle like Keane's tackle.
How does you being Irish carry any weight to this? Keane was dead right to do him. Just because most people take shit thinking that they are the “bigger person” doesn’t mean everyone has to. Keane should have stood on his head after he got him.
I'm a United fan and a huge supporter of Roy Keane but can never justify that challenge. Keano wouldn't have liked to be on the receiving end of that. Fair play to Haaland in how he has dealt with it.

@@rosefinnen1015 yes you are correct. I don't condone what either done. Roy was dirty if you hurt him. He would wait for his turn to dish it out. A great footballer but had a roughness to his game and played on the edge very often What made Roy a hero was he could play brilliant and gave 100% every time he went out. Alfie was a fine player too but didn't have a career as good as Roy. Very few player's did to be honest.

there is nothing worse than a player that goes out onto the field looking to hurt and injure an opponent... disgraceful from Keane and compounded by the fact that he admitted to it in a book later to make money and has never shown any sort of contrition... and no one in the UK or Ireland ever call him out for it... if anything, they use it as an example of his supposed winning mentality and leadership
Alfie has an incredible outlook and attitude with regards to the attack he suffered. keane, should have been expelled from the league for that assault, what a disgrace. And then brought to trial.
We talked about Hard Men of football over the last 40 years and cowards cannot be included in that list, it was a cowardly tackle on a defenceless man, if you want revenge you ask to see him in the car park, it was the act of a coward who has yet to apologize.
The fact that Keane was kicked off the Irish World Cup soccer team in 2002 demonstrates what kind of person he is. This deliberate attempt to disable another player is so cowardly that a red card was not enough. These sickening images have tarnished the reputation of Keane forever!
Nah, he was 100% right at the World Cup. The team going on a big piss up on a remote island with no training facilities on verge of the biggest competition in the world was an absolute disgrace.
Wow that still hurts him, but of corse, it would, but in retrospect, city wining the leauge with his son being the dominate player, :) All has been restored for him in a funny sort of way
Personally I can't remember a professional English player who tried to hurt an opponent on purpose. On top of that he was bragging about it in his book?? It's a shame that Keene is able to work as a pundit and very disrespectful to Alfie Haaland.
roy keane may not be english, but ron harris & tommy smith & vinnie jones were just to name but 3 & they had no qualms about doing serious injury to their opponents, you need to stat looking at some 1970s matches in england
Hahahah, Utd paid really really big for the reckless Roy Keane made decades ago. Haaland surely would go to Utd at age of 18 without that stupid accident.
I grew up a Keane fan but nah, that foul is not a play on ball. At least Haalands foul was to prevent Keane from getting to ball. You can hear the pain in Alfie's voice after he mentions the Keane Book part. I am not a fan of Keane anymore. No one should be.
what's going on with other City player ... except for KDB, Mancity players only give assists as a formality, unlike KDB who gives assists with 'heart & brain' for the team
He was injured before the game, had been for months, thats why he had bandage on. yes it was a bad tackle and Roy shouldnt have donr that, but it did not end his career
R u dumb…. Maybe he already had injury problems….. but that rash deliberate purposeful tackle by a low cowardly tackle ended his career in that match….
As a United fan for 40 years l don't personally like Keane ethier, nasty little man. Haaland junior at City will hurt United's cause going forward, revenge can take time.
You shouldn't have fecked with Keaneo.... And the funny thing is that Keane doesn't give a shite about united now..... SAF and the club left their best captain out to dry..... He's loving watchin haaland Jr bang the goals in....😂
Someone who bends over a man writhing in pain likely to prevent him from working for months doesn't have much of those. A coward more like. Much has been made of the look on Haaland's face in the tunnel when he stood beside Keane the day Keane took his revenge. Even then could have taken the chance to apologise. The son's got talent so may not have to resort to cowerdice. Hasn't won much yet though has he?
Taunting an injured keane is like signing your own death note. Also halaand went to city because they are arguably the best team in the world with him there (we’ll see in champs) not because of a tackle on his dad toy keane did back in the day
