What if the brackets were being added together though. Like this: ([S-V]/T) + ([S+V]*R) = P P=400 R=0.0005 V=14,000 T=36 S=? How do I rearrange the formula to find "S"?

it's 5x. you're not multiplying you're adding. if x are apples, 2 apples plus 3 apples is just 5 apples. only in multiplication that you get 5x^2
