Algodoo Timer [RELEASE!] Tutorial

My timer made in Algodoo is released for everyone's use! Enjoy!
A timer requires moderately heavy scripting using Thyme, so I decided to help everyone out. Feel free to check the scripts if you understand. I may do in-depth scripting tutorials in the future if there is high enough demand. This is a brief tutorial -- not hard to use!

Some ideas for the next couple tutorials 1. Laser Tutorial (cutting, reflection, a bunch of cool stuff) 2. Siege Gate 3. A whole Algicosathlon Tutorial (athlete and event construction) 4. Launcher (like a pump, but it doesn’t lift marbles up smoothly)

I currently only make elimination style marble races, so this isn't necessary for that. However, I am planning on creating a Beat the Clock marble race, so I thank you for this tutorial. I have struggled to make a timer myself, so this helps a lot.

Drag it into the components folder (the one with the car) and you can use it in other scenes!

Very nice timers, but how do I cut it down to just the one I want and save that as a component that I can add to my other scenes? please. Sorry I'm new to this program and it's all gobbledegook to me.

Get the one you want with move, and drag it onto the component button

If you want more time (works to 24 hours) in stopwatch, do this: Change at the end from '(59-min)' to '(1439-min)' timeToLive = 86401

Forgive the possibly dumb question but is there a way to make the timer stop once a marble hits a specific object? Also, how do i actually download it?

You should be able to download it using the Google Drive link in the description. I'm not sure how to make it stop with this script, but I'll check it for you if you are still wondering.

@@Kenlimepie Oh, yes! I would like to know how. That's what Cary did. What I want is that once a marble collides w/sth, the current time is stored as a variable. It is then printed onto a block. Pls tell me how!

Read the message I sent 7 mt ago first. You change timeToLive from 86401 to (86401 - x) while x is time in seconds that timer starts.

I have another idea of the timer : postStep = (e) => { text = (math.toFloat(text) - e.dt) + "" } You must type the time (in second) in the text box or it won't work. If you want minutes, seconds and miliseconds then watch the script in the video ;)
