This was a two night there-and-back canoe trip to Clydegale Lake (through Rock Lake and Pen Lake) in Algonquin Provincial Park: Tuesday Sept 10 - 13 2024. Thank you for watching!
Hey Brent. Yes... I meant to say from Petawawa! I am guessing that that is where they came from as well. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the morning sequence. I love those misty mornings as well! I am also a fan of Tumblehome. Thank you for watching and commenting! Cheers!
Awesome vid! Nice blend of narrative, story telling and nature pics. I must’ve been out there at the same time as you. I also freaked out with two giant airplanes, barely clearing our site and we were in the same area!
Thank you Kawartha65! I appreciate your regular comments and feedback. So you also caught sight of those two low flying airplanes? I swear that they were like 30 feet above the treeline. It was an exciting event for sure! I would love to know why they are flying so low. Crazy! Cheers, Trevor.
Booth's Rock has been on my list for awhile now, it sure looked inviting from the water. Great shot of the Cormorant. Beautiful set of rapids at the first portage. I've never encountered anything like that boulder barrier before, very interesting. Loved the reflection of the trees in the water. 12:13 What a great campsite you found, hard to beat that. Holy crap, those planes! Mason drooling 26:07 😅 Great commentary and camera work, as usual. Yours is one my favourite channels. Keep up the great work! 👌👍 - Daryl
Thanks for your comments and feedback Daryl. Glad that you enjoyed this one as well! I was fortunate to catch the cormorant upwind so that I could slowly drift toward it until it decided I was too close and took to the air. And yes... that was a first for me with the air show. They were so close to the top of the treeline. Exciting for sure but terrifying for wildlife I am sure. Mason's drool is constant I'm afraid. Haha. I am flattered to be one of your favourite channels. Thank you for all the support! More to come. Cheers! T.
Nice trip! I was a few lakes south of you and experienced the planes skim just above the tree line right over top of me. I go to Algonquin for the peace and quiet but I can make an exception for the planes because that was awesome!
Ah! That thumbnail and title make me nervous! I'm heading up to Ontario from Nova Scotia in October for some fall colours canoe tripping. This makes me wanna leave asap!
Haha. Don’t worry… There’s lots of time left! Hope you have a great trip in October and I will look forward to seeing the video. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
Heading to Rock Lake access in a few weeks to end a fantastic paddling season… just going in for a nice and easy 4 day reconnect before winter, and maybe catch some of our wonderful fall colours! Thanks for sharing and cheers 😊
Hey Guys! That's great! Hope you get some amazing peak colours during your stay. That is such a great time to be in the park. Viv and I hope to make it out in October as well... just not sure where yet. Fingers crossed for good weather! Cheers and thanks for your comments and support! Cheers!
