Dauda Epo Akara was a great composer in the mold of Yusuf Olatunji, Sanusi Aka, Haruna Ishola, Lefty Balogun and the legend Abibu Oluwa. He was an Ibadan indigene a brick layer by original profession.
They usually have a primary profession before they break through in music. Omowura was a lorry driver or so too before he was discovered by his lead drummer Ajewole Onilu Ola.
When you listen to this old musics with their philosophical rendition, they touch your spirit and you imagine the rubbish being dished out by most musicians nowadays that are only meant for the clubs.
