One of the few 20 minute video I've watched end to end lol, these are awesome! I didn't know about the facebook page so I guess I'll just go follow that now... Any plans for a US Drop and roll tour? The east coast could use some culture over here man... there may be like 10 riders from the entirety of Florida up to Maine lol
Nicely done. I guess as part of new generation I am always motivated by you. If it's possible my goal is ride with you in future haha, hopefully there is a fan meet in the future, when you are prepared and we as well.
great stuff Ali! Lots of helpful and interesting info here. Its nice to know a bit more about what makes you tick. I've recently started comp riding at 31, it's really chilled and fun with categories for everyone so I'd recommend it to anyone! cheers
Very interesting how you started trials on a GT Avalanche. I did as well when I first discovered the likes of Danny, Martyn, Akrigg, and the rest (including yourself), albeit a 2012 model which later got stolen. :/ Love "getting to know" the riders that inspire me, great work Ali!
It's awesome watching your vlogs. I live in a relatively small town in the northwest US where XC is the only thing that has boomed. And as far as I can tell, I am the only trials rider who currently dwells in Missoula (City) or even the entire state of Montana. So it's really hard getting tips for doing things because nobody knows what I it is I am doing in the first place. I am just the crazy person using his bicycle as a pogo stick and a streety hopping machine. I kind of have to look at my mountain bike peers for help rather than the bmx kids because they understand slightly more of what I am doing. But the biggest help with my riding has definitely been any edit I can dig you up in. I feel I am more at your pace of riding vs. the styles seen by Fabio, Danny or Lucas Cockshot. And as I approach my 3rd year of doing this sport and high school coming to a close I can take even more inspiration from you seeing as I will have more time on my hands. I love the interpersonal-ness of these vlogs and how helpful they can be. They are my new favorite thing when it comes to pre-ride inspiration. Also, give Mr. Ben Travis my regards. You, him and Aaron riding in Lisbon was a thrill to watch. That, your 5 days in Barcelona and some Ben T here 'n there is my auto giddyfier if I am down and only kind of want to ride my bike. Keep up what you're doing. You are absolutely my favorite and most inspirational rider. I hope this helps you whenever you find yourself down next. :) Also, vlog ideas: 'Tutorials' on the sensitive things like tyre-taps would be Oh-so-helpful Thanks, Austin Jensen
Good vid man, loving how the response to these videos seems to be pushing you on to do things I know you're probably a bit uncomfortable doing. Can't imagine before the first one that you'd have contemplated a 24 minute video talking to camera! Keep up the good work :)
The step analogy is very true for all aspects of learning/progression. I feel that too many people feel progress should be linear no matter what they are doing, while failing to respect the countless hours which are spent by talented individuals to get to the point they are at. Perhaps this is to do with social media - which is why I very much value when people (yourself included) provide failed attempts, or numerous attempts at getting a line right, before finally showing the perfect version. Another great watch.
great vlog cuz gave me info to know about you more and more, isn't there any plan of your team to come to our messy India and make some crazy videos. with love from india
