I took My 2 children thru so much Hard times while Educating them, being a Single Mum..My Son studied in Kampala University, interior Near Rwanda.i went thru Hell, after Him having come out from form Six with a Huge Balance and later getting His I.T degrees which up to Now have never secured Him permanent job...just because,No Godfather... imagine 1 of My cousins telling me ,He needs to get another degree to get a job?? Where do I get cash to take Him to scl??? He's a Family Man with No job..
There is nothing wrong with scoring a D-. There is a way to go to degree level. One starts from certificate, diploma and then to degree. This shows he is wise . Problem with people is being swayed too easy by emotion and seeing yourself in people. Same reason Ruto tricked people he was a fellow hustler and the solution to all their problems.
He has answered that question very well on his education. I do not like anyone who puts someone down due to education. However i do understand that the position he has been appointed for requires some level of academic qualifications. The question he should be grilled on is integrity issues and the constant query about his initial source of wealth. That worries me especially due to what is happening to Mombasa youths.
If you believe his source of wealth is legitimate you're a fool. Knowing English is not being learned is just another language, if I learnt french it wouldn't make me sophisticated. Joho has been linked with cocaine worth billions during kibakis era that's the true source of his riches

Hassan Ali Joho was inspirational on this question, it resonates with the struggle many Kenyans go through to achieve education, he was exemplary, from under privileged kid to CS, Hongera Bwana!, you deserve a chance to serve.
There's a reason for that. It is called "curse of the gifted ". The gifted people dont resonate with other mere mortals. They would rather not lead than be misunderstood. But eventually along the way, nature forces them to lead after all else has failed. A case in point is the late President Mwai Kibaki. His kinsmen could not at any time envision him being a President of the republic. Yet he turned out to be the best country CEO and Economist the country ever had. Also Abraham Lincoln of the USA and Winston Churchill who had a very challenging childhood.

The gloriciation that sorrounds academic qualification tends to create an unbalanced society where those who haven't performed well are labelled uneducated and are attributed to low status whereas those who were "savvys" are considered the technocrats and transformers of society. In as much as that their is concession that education qualification has its right place in soctiety, its not a direct indicator of how good/better/best someone can be. There are those who literally performed poorly not out of choice but due to inherent predicaments sorrounding them like Mr. Joho. My mother, who was denied access to education by primitivity, left school at class 4. Nevertheless, that did not make her an intellectual dwarf. She's very good in financial management and business administration, skills that she uses to coach we the educated people. The same way we have lots of educated fools, who can not marry sense to life basics. We need to change the narrative of how we view each other. We need to stop prejudices and stereotypes. Until we interact with them, we have no rights to call them "incompetent". Bravo Mr Joho

This gentleman got a D- but under circumstances that most would not achieve. He now has 2 verified degrees! This guy has got mad focus! My demeanour would make me try to investigate if what he says is true(because he is still a politician🤪😜) but if it has been verified by people in our institutions with the latest tech, then i believe it. I remember how he tenaciously handled COVID in Mombasa! There could be another person who is more suited but where is this person? Has he/she been tested and proven? What is his/her story? This gentleman has what we call experience and with experience comes wisdom. I ask you to look at genius children, where are they now? Cleverness at school isn’t everything. Focus is everything!
