I just turned 40 a few weeks ago & I grew up on Alice cuz my mom loved him. I saw Alice in March I took my mom for her Bday & was blown away @ what an incredible performer he was. The whole band kicked ass! It's incredible the stage energy he has & how polished he is for his age. Absolutely phenominal! I'd go see him again in a heartbeat. Oh Bonus was Buck Cherry opened for him
For Alice to say that Johnny has Great Stories is a MASSIVE compliment. The Coop has, by FAR some of the BEST stories for a Rockstar. (Golfing with Grocho Mark & Glen Campbell to Keith Moon cooking Breakfast in Drag in Alice house and freaking out his wife)
I had the pleasure of meeting Alice twice: once at 8 and once again at 19... what truly blew my mind was that when I met him at 19 he actually remembered me! I was helping my mum get the 3rd and 4th cd/comic book signed and he was like "I know you!" And I was all "I wish!" And he got us to stand to the side of the signing stage while he kept signing autographs and then finally, mid-signing he was like "I got it!!!" He finished signing and beckoned us over and he said "I signed your jeans when you were little!" My mum and I were blown away that he'd remembered that and he went on to say "I did, you were really little and had nothing to sign and I got you to put your leg up on the table and I signed your jeans!" We then had maybe a 5-10 minute conversation with him where he asked about the bands I was into and whatnot and I recommended he go play golf at Mount Lofty golf club and he swore he would. Two weeks later when I visited my grandparents my grandfather (who worked in the pro shop at the course) said they had a weird experience where the course was booked out for a woman named "Alice" but it was some strange looking man instead 😆 To this day, as a 40 year old I have nothing but love and respect for the guy!
@@opel9170 Hardly. There was no dispute over that the rest of the original band doesn't have to work again because he pays royalties for use of that name and he has been producing his own original Alice Cooper writing for 44 years SINCE the break up of the original Alice Cooper band. If he hadn't surged forward and continued Alice Cooper would have been a mere blip in music history.
I honestly loved how they both spoke of Johnny ❤️ Johnny’s been a rockstar, a musician long before his acting. He’s simply an awesome genuine multitalented human being. He’s an artist 🎨 too, and a father to 2 amazing children. Love you Johnny, you’re a “great” guy 🙏🏻 #JusticeForJohnnyDepp 💙💙💙
Johnny and I both grew up in the Miami area. He was in a band called "The Kids". I never met him, but at the time I was a keyboardist playing in a lot of bands also. A friend of mine knew him, and told me they needed a keyboard player. He asked me if I would audition. I was playing with someone else, and getting ready to move to California. I passed on the opportunity to play in the band, and to get to know him. I think about that sometimes...
I met Alice at Perth Western Australia airport. The flights were delayed because of an earth quake .it was bedlam and security came from everywhere to take him and his crew through the departure lounge first. He was standing behind me on the escalator talking to my 9 year old son. Alice said no, we will wait like everyone else. He is the most unassuming person. We were stuck on the escalator for ages and he was chatting away with my son, me and everyone else stuck. Wonderful down to earth man. I admire and respect him even more for having johnny's back
what I like about both Joe Perry & Alice Cooper they aren't jealous one bit of all the attention that Johnny Depp gets. It speaks volumes what great guys these two are.
Thanks for all the love and support. I am blown away by the love from ya'll. I know these are hard times but with love and faith we shall all see the light again 🥰❤️❤️. Love you 🤗.
Being a teenager in the 60's and 70's was just amazing. Music and dancing at clubs every weekend. It is sad that teens just hang out now with their phones and video games. I was not into the Beattles so much as I was into Progressive rock. The Moody Blues were my heroes. They had great lyrics and original music. Alice Cooper has been a great role model for the upcoming musicians. Thank you for still being around and for supporting Johnny Depp.
There’s not just one I can name but Moody Blues was right at the top for me too along with Styx, The Eagles, The Doobie Brothers and of course the Beatles. I could go on and on. There was also the Kinks, the Yardbirds and of course America.
@@glendalangley1877 Those were the good old days. You could go out and see a great band many times. Now they are just there for one season. Maybe a couple still around but I'm so glad living in the 70 and 80 and 90's.
@@JayDee-xj9lu You’re absolutely right. My favorites were from the 60’s and 70’s. I loved folk and still do. I still go to concerts of the 70’s bands but gosh so many are passing away now that it’s getting harder to catch a good concert. I’ve been very fortunate to be able to see the ones I have. If I could only find a time machine that’s the generation I’d go back too. As Bob Seger would say, “ Today’s music ain’t got the same soul”. That pretty much sums it up.
This was always Johnnys dream before falling into acting by accident. It is nice to know after all the amazing stuff he has done in his acting career he can now be in a band and a band thats full of legends.
On cleaning days with my grandma she would put on her Alice Cooper album. I have told people this story for 50 years. Loved Alice Cooper's music since I was 10.
49 years ago my first date with my wife was at a Alice Cooper concert on his Billion Dollar Babies Tour. We have been married for 47 years now. It amazing Alice is still rocking in 2022. Keep the fire Alice !
What a brilliant discussion between 2 clear friends. Alice Cooper is a thoughtfiul, insightful man. as is Jore Perry. I dread to think of a party at Zappa's house. RIP Frank..
We get to listen to Alice host weeknights on my local rock radio station and I just love it. Great humour, knowledge, stories, anecdotes and awesome playlists. Awesome dude we love him here in Australia🇦🇺🤘
Alice Cooper looks freaking amazing. I can remember listening to his music while studying the record jackets when I was 7 or 8 and he doesn’t seem to have changed that much. That was forever ago…I’m 58 now.
I know RIGHT!!! How cool is that? Coming out of the mouth of the best! I knew Johnny was a cutie ...but DAM.. he's a for real rock star as well. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love!! To one of my favorite Actors, Johnny Depp~ I know it's been dark for some time, but always remember, the sun will rise again and truth will always prevail/reveal itself! Stay strong! I want to thank you, for not only your acting roles/ characters you've created, your art, music, but THANK YOU for sharing your truth and speaking up for Domestic Violence/abused men! Like David Bowie's song that you have sang to....we could be heroes....you are one for me, and not just for one day! Thank you for being a voice for abused men without a voice, abused men that are shamed, not believed, or are always felt to not ever have feelings. You stated that with Disney, your character didn't receive a proper ending, my opinion is, it's because they're not dead. Captain Jack Sparrow will always be you johnny! 🖤🏴☠️ Amber Heard cannot take any of the characters you've made/acted, she cannot take your loyal friends, family, or fans! No matter what the outcome of court will be, johnny, you've got me as a fan...38 years a fan here, and so many more that stand with you. I love you, so much! Always and forever! Savvy

'Cut from the Cloth"... I like what JPerry said about Johnny... You can totally tell JD's Spirit is all 💯 ROCK n ROLL 🎸 all of you... are Legendary 🎸 Keep ROCKIN 🎸 ..... ✌️👸❣️
What an amazing interview! These artists are so humble and really opened my eyes to the legacy that they came upon as boys and are passing along now. Magical all the way around.
My first concert was Alice Cooper, Welcome To My Nightmare. It was fantastic! I’ve been to many concerts since, too many to count, but my most favorite will always be Alice!
You have such a profound impact on my career that even the biggest thank you text would fall shout to express my gratitude. Thanks for your support and the love shown stay safe ❤️❤️❤️
My first Alice concert was the Billion Dollar Babies Tour back in 1970 performed in the National Guard Armory in Minneapolis MN -the OG of shock rock❤️🔥
2 of my all-time favorites I grew up to and still today love to listen to. For me there was no other time in the history of music to grow up to 70's - 90's.
Alice !i started my rock life with your music ! The best is always the first experience ! First acid drop early 70s and songs !all Album Love it to death. ! Love you Cooper !
Johnny Depp is a true GEMINI ! He has. Two llives. Actor. vs. Musician. He is a divine legendary human. Versatile multiple different careers!! 🎶 MUSIC !! JOHNNY'S FIRST LOVE
It's amazing how even at the height of Johnny Depp's fame (or should I say the *previous* height of his fame since he's now on the verge of surpassing it) the press never mentioned that he's also a bonafide musician. Very impressive.
I've loved Johnny since 1993. Now to know he plays the guitar like a rock star .. WITH the best old school rock stars he knocks my lights out. ..don't you know that you are a shooting star..don't ya know? . .all the world will love you just as long, as long as you are, a shooting star.. tell Johnny I love him!
Believe Depp, Cooper and Perry all together make the music enjoyed by millions. Love these guys, will follow until eternity! Lovely how they praise Depp. On My bucket list is to be at a concert sometime.
I love these guys so much and I think it's really cool how they accept Johnny"the musician". Johnny will be a rock legend in his own time. It's like they've been playing together forever. A really cool vibe between them all. ❤
@@kathyyeary5798 Indiana , Holds a special place in my heart, and I miss it too. The memories and connections from that time are truly cherished. Thank you for reaching out and reminding me of those wonderful moments. How long have you been a fan ?
So glad I discovered the Vampires! Some good old school rock and roll and I love it! Never knew JD was a musician, but I agree with them - he looks so at home while playing. He seems to be a musician first and actor second. Regardless, hoping to hear lots more from you guys!
Could listen to a lot more of this. Maybe there is a lot more. As we say in the UK, Alice is definitely a national treasure. He was a great friend of Glen Campbell and that's an odd combination.
Alice was always one step ahead of other bands and that s what brouth him all the way here ! I m 18 from ( love it to death ) big big hit still heard all over ! Saw a few Concerts at the Forum de Montreal back in the 70s !
Thank you for giving Johnny a home away from home. I bet you mean the world to him to keep his sanity in the right levels I bet you gave him the much needed distraction from all the shit that has been poured over him. With you he can be himself.
Beautiful comment==I think you are absolutely correct! Thank goodness he had this band and these guys to throw himself into and put the stress and the mess in the background!
Hi Alice Cooper and Joe Perry you are a amazing singer Joe Perry you are a amazing guitar player tell Johnny depp I said hi tell I love you Johnny you Joe Perry I love your gloves and hat too have great tours
Age 17, my first concert ever was Aerosmith, Portland Maine. I’ve seen a lot of concerts since then but I’d still be a fan of Joe’s side of the stage Alice 😎
I think it's great guys you speaking so highly of johnny yes his first love is music infact acting happend by accident I just think it's great johnny gets to do what he loves and he's equally talented Johnny also paints many people may not know but yes he's a man of many talents
"Hello, my amazing supporter! Your warmth and positivity always brighten my day. Thank you for your unwavering love and encouragement. I'm so grateful to have you here! Where in the world are you tuning in from?"
I'm a rock n roll chick I was born into it cuz of my dad. I was never into actors as i preffered musicians idk just what I was attracted to. When I discovered Johnny Depp he was the typical Hollywood guy & I was extremely into him. I loved him as an actor, but grew a new profound respect for him as a musician. He's truly talented!
I always knew JD could play guitar well and had been with Vampires, but when I heard and saw him sing Isolation with Jeff Beck, I was freaking blown away with the quality 😳 🥰💖👏. Respect JD ✊️. Hey Alice, I'm old as dirt, and I now sing Department Of Youth as Department Of Seniors 🤣
It is BLOODY AWESOME DELUXE watching Alice n Joe together discussing music 🎶,!!! It is such a RUSH for a 67 yr old rocker like me who was a singer n dancer n writer in Michigan for YEARS, n my idols of all time began with Alice Cooper n "Pretties For You" in 1970 n Aerosmith right behind him!!! How BLOODY Beautiful that they are performing STILL n together n they have incorporated Johnny Depp into their Rock Stardom!! I 🙏 pray I get to see Hollywood Vampires before I kick off!!! I,Ve seen Alice about 30 times in my life!!! I am in awe that they are STILL the same as ever n going as strong as they ever have!!!
I think it is safe to say that Depp is an artist...he creates different kinds of art and he does it well. His paintings are also of a certain quality.. He is like Herman Brood. Anyways...it is such a treat to see alice cooper still rtocking around. I am 58 now and I was 7 or so when million dollar babies cAme out and the cover of the album made such an impression on me... as did the album before that
Love me some Joe, love me some Alice and love me some Johnny! JD, you are amazing, talented, kind, real, and you will prevail or that corrupt empty soul human you know whom that tried to take you down. God bless you and keep the music coming!
I got to meet Joe Perry at Bread and Circus now known as Whole Foods in Cambridge ma during the time the band was broken up was I think In the 80s . Just all in black and with his wife and wasn’t sure if it was him but said hi and he confirmed it! I wasn’t heavily into Aerosmith but the friend I was with was and recognized him more readily Very low key guy just shopping. That was a small store i those days before it all changed! Boston is a dry city and Joe is definitely showing his roots as he talks no frills straightforward so typical of the area .
I love seeing Johnny, with the guys, from Hollywood Vampires! You both, said it best. When Johnny is on stage,it is the real Johnny,a true Rock Star! No character, just Johnny! I hope to see all of yous one day!
You know I really hope Johnny says “Screw Hollywood!” And sticks with his music and guitar playing! Hollywood does not deserve him (except Tim Burton!)
Thank you guys, you both have so much to be proud of. This video is great cause I think Johnny can really use the support. especially now all these years later. Love what you do. All the the best to you.
Vince, there was a time, in the '60s, when we played on your stage in Phoenix. The club owner said that though we were good, he couldn't use us for anything, because we sounded too much like the Spiders! We didn't know who The Spiders were, but we were just kids from San Diego, but we knew by the next Summer! SO thank you for bringing us, Alice!
Great to see the other side of Johny, I had no idea he was a musician too. It seems this was where he began his life and found himself in love with music. Acting must have come second…. It would have been nice if showed some of his footage doing this and the side of him you talk about.
