The difference between this episode's version of Alice/ Tilly compared to Alice/ Tilly in the rest of the season is staggering. Season seven Alice was a sweet, albeit distracted girl who was just trying to find her father. She had tea parties with her dolls when she was 17/18 and came up with nicknames for the girl she liked and ran headfirst into a crazed mob to save a monster because she thought that hurting anyone was wrong. Episode 1 Alice was honestly pretty sinister. She drugs Henry and ties him up underground to scare him into going home. Most shockingly, she says that when trouble happens, she wants to be far away from it, a stark contrast to the Alice that we see in the rest of season 7 that will help anybody even if she may get hurt from it. The same thing goes with Tilly. Tilly is a little... unhinged at times. She can be intense sometimes, more like the Alice that we see here which is interesting, what with shooting Weaver and all. Though that was when she was extremely confused and off the meds the Belfry makes her take, so we can cut her some slack. However, for the vast majority of season 7, she's a kind girl who won't stand for anyone being mistreated. Episode 1 Tilly, however, stalks Henry around town for Weaver and then literally _walks in on Weaver waterboarding someone and doesn't bat an eye._ No fear, no remorse, she doesn't even acknowledge the guy who's literally being tortured in front of her. I know that in later episodes, Tilly lies to Rodgers for Weaver about Eloise Gardener, but she noticeably feels pretty bad about it. What she witnesses here is objectively worse she just... doesn't care. It really makes you wonder what went on in the writer's room in between episode 1 and the rest of the season that made Alice/ Tilly's writing so inconsistent. Note: this is NOT me hating on Tilly/ Alice, she's one of my favorite characters in OUaT, and her familial relationship with Rodgers/ Hook and her romantic relationship with Margot/ Robin are two of my favorites period. I think that after this episode, the writers really start to flesh her out in a realistic, consistent way, but even that makes looking back at this episode so jarring.
Its interesting how she chose to word that warning.....its the exact same warning Henry gives Emma in season 1 when she considers breaking the rules to leave town. "If you leave, BAD THINGS HAPPEN"

Cupcake Queen to be fair other characters are only known by one thing to how does she thing Hansel and Gretel feel they only had a witch try to kill them once and hook wasn't always on Neverland or like how Wendy and her brothers only went to Neverrland once also ive never heard the name Alice once in any other fairytail so clearly she didnt make enough of an impression or also like how rumple was only known for the Miller's daughter thing and not the whole beast thing or for being fairy godmother each character is usually only known for like one story
NattyJane yea u are right every character is only known by one story for example snow is known to have an evil stepmother and the sleeping curse ,zelina is known for her green skin and being the wicked witch in Oz so yeah I get it and I want to know more about Alice and what is her story
Cupcake Queen yea I really want to see her in wonderland so far she is the most interesting character no offense to jacinda but I never liked cinderella its to closely related to snow white they should have picked somebody else for Henry love interest I think it would have been cool of his love interest was Alice and the queen of hearts was the main villain but of course they went with Cinderella frankly I dont see any chemistry but oh well

Henry met Alice before he met Emma in the New Enchanted Forest, when Emma said, she was pregnant, so how could Alice be Emmas daughter, if Henry met his pregnant mother after he met Alice.
Wow!! This is the new Alice? I don't believe it, she is great. But I miss Sophie Lowe as Alice, she looks great too. I am a huge Alice in Wonderland fan.
I personally disagree. The Alice from the spin-off was the worst thing about an otherwise good show. She was boring as hell and was played by a terrible actress that underacted to the max. This Alice is actually interesting and is played by an actress that can actually act.
Are you kidding the fuck with me? Alice from that spin off is one of the shittiest things i ever saw on televison, boring, dull with no personality, with an actress who can't act AT ALL. This one is an intriguing character with personality and charisma, and an actress with talent. Comparing the two is a total joke
So essentially the show continued on giving the fans hope of something new to come and we assumed it would be Henry finding his own story, but because OUAT is no Disney production they decided to attempt to steal other stories to try and write him into- except ''When it's not your story, bad things happen''. And the rest of the story is going to be about how he imposed himself on a different Cinderella version story and now is paying for the repercussions by having been cursed to the 'real' world along with his mother and other Hook... and the plot thickens. Not gonna lie of it all I really like that they mad Alice a weirdo, because if anything a girl that followed a rabbit down a hole and befriended the mad hatter has got to be weird and awesome AF. Also since she is here, will we be seeing Jefferson again? and could she possibly be Grace's mum? the girl was a sandy blonde after al.

Keira Schneider they basically decided for season 7 to try the multiverse theory but with fairytales so this is a difference universe with a different timeline

I could barely watch this episode, Season 7 is just awful... Season 1 through 6 is incredible but not 7. I'll keep watching though, I like seeing the characters and I'm interested to see where the story will go and if it will get better...
Once you understand the whole story, everything would make sense. It gets better after that and honestly if characters from the previous seasons are in here their roles and stories would be stretching and boring
