💯 This is how you review a pedal! And what a pedal it is! 🙌🏼🥳 Jerry is a guitarist/singer/songwriter beyond compare. So grateful for his contributions over the last 30+ years.
@@robertbuck7186 thanks so much, I spend ages trying to tell a story through riffs whilst showing off the range of tones a pedal has so massively appreciate the comment 🤘😊🧡
Got my shipping email confirmation this morning! Thank you Matt and Andy for another great pedal and for not giving up on this project!!! We’ve been waiting for this for a long time!!!!🤘🔥🔥🔥
Monday is payday and I'm getting one of these. As much as I enjoy his lead playing (Man In the Box and Them Bones are 2 of my favourite guitar solos) for me its Jerry's riffs that really grabbed me and as a predominatly rhythm player myself I find his tone on those early AIC albums to be exactly what I'd like to tap into. Bluesy without being dad rock, gritty without being muddy. You've done an incredible job of being able to put it in a stomp box. Also want to say that along with Mike from the Art of Guitar you've made one of my favourite guitar channels on RU-vid. The stuff I play myself is in that grungey/stoner/doom/sludge arena and you feature a lot of that stuff so very much a channel that I can learn a lot from.
Jerry really is a riff machine isn't he!? And thanks so much for the kinds words about the pedal and channel - really means a lot! Got loads more good stuff planned so stay tuned :-)
Yes!!! I pre-ordered mine!!! It’s in Cambridge and it’s ready to ship!!! All I need is the Skeleton Key pedal and I’ll own every pedal you guys make!!! Please please keep making grunge pedals!!! You rock 🤘🏻
I didn't know this was coming. This time I made sure to hit the check box for updates. I have the first two. I really like them. I like the ethos of the collaborations. I happily plopped down $146 to get one shipped to sunny Arizona.
@@NobodySnowMusic thanks and Andy’s doing them in batches this time round so preorders will go out next week I believe so shouldn’t be too long to wait!
Top demo mate, pedal sounds sick! Hopefully, my preorder arrives this weekend, I can't wait to take it for a spin. If I push my 1991 into Dirt, does some magical Mad Season magic occur? 😎
@@LetsPlayAll That’s even more reassuring! I have plenty of drive pedals, (some pretty high end) and probably don’t need another one! Lol… but this one just sounds like a whole lot of fun! You definitely sold me on it. Excellent demo!
You had me at the AIC tones, but the others were the decider. Think you could even get some early Rammstein tones out of it? Edited to say I’ve gone ahead and bought it. So I guess I’ll find out soon enough. Cracking value as well.
More being built - sign up to the newsletter for more info - funnylittleboxes.co.uk/pages/newsletter-signup but he's making more available early November
This may be an noob question, but I have a tube amp head how would I use this without getting the tones from the amp head? I just want the sound of the pedal and not combine it with the tone of my head. The pedal sounds great! Thanks!
@@Am_1Demon I’m using a tube amp head with this pedal mate, but I have the head set just on the edge of breakup (so not totally clean) so you should be fine going straight into your head unless you have a high gain single channel head I guess?
Good demo! Full of tricks and turns! Enhorabuena Mister, good product. I think it's time to instructors to take the lead on pedals. Musicians are always focused on their own, while we are in chase of something more.
That's freaky. I remember a year ago you replied 'Watch this space' to a comment I made on the 1991 pedal saying 'Now we need an AIC pedal'. This morning I remembered that and thought I should check your channel. What are the chances? Anyway, you guys have done an amazing job!
@@Always_in_C_standard haha yea it’s been a long time in the making! We’d planned it to be our second release after the 1991 bit really proud it’s finally come to be! 🤘😊
@@marmelaki no my Morgan MVP66 but we developed it using a bunch, Victory, Boss katana etc. I left all the Morgan settings the same throughout the vid 🤘
Haha the Morgan is a killer head, but we've tested this on a range of gear, Blackstar, Boss Katana, Victory V40 etc so it should play well with anything :-)
Glad you think so too! It's meant to cover a range of Jerry's tones (and other bands beyond that) but the initial goal was to nail the Dirt tones, specifically Them Bones and we went from there. Jerry's recorded tones on that album for the most part was a Bogner Fish preamp (bottom end), a Bognor Ecstasy (middle frequencies), and a Tom Scholz Rockman (upper frequencies). He used a similar setup for Facelift but that was a a Bogner-modded Marshall JCM800 (bottom end), a Randall 2x12 combo (middle frequencies), and a Tom Scholz Rockman (upper frequencies). Then Dave Jerden would mix the tones throughout the albums. But we just went after the end result rather than the component parts
@@shawnbeaghan9809 pedal into amp head but that goes into my two notes captor as I record silently. Then cab and mic sim in their wall of sound plugin in my daw. Same setup I always use basically 👍
@@pacoarcos8804 the BE-OD is amazing. They’re voiced very differently tho and the non-deluxe BE-OD doesn’t have a mids control so to my ears has a natural scooped mids sound. This is a different flavour and we were specifically aiming to get as close to Jerry’s tone as possible
@@mmmatthews9135 hard to offer guidance here tbh as it sounds like you’ve made your mind up, but if it’s not for you then cool. We like it for the job it does and it’s been independently reviewed and those reviewers felt the same way we did. It’s not for everyone though so I’m sure you’ll find something else that makes you happier 👍
