I love the sense of humor from Alice in Chains. The singer is wearing make-up like a Glam Metal vocalist while the other members look like they are from old school Thrash Metal/Speed Metal band. It's like they're trying to confuse people.
So bad ass, I was holding lights and setting up dry ice, this is the Art Institute of Seattle shoot. it was filmed at the Backstage in Ballard, 2 in the class before us were the directors, a girl and a dude. About 40 of us showed up to help out. It was mixed down back at school on a 24 track Neotex analog that Steve Miller gave to the school, it was the board he recorded book of dreams on - jet airliner/jungle love. Seattle hadn't hit yet so no one was famous, after the band just stayed and drank beer with us lol.
I saw Alice In Chains live and me and my friend were 10-12 at the time we got almost to the front row then when they came out and started playing immediately ran backwards away from the speakers. 😂 After a few songs we worked our way back up and got guitar picks from Jerry Cantrell after the show.
did anyone gets notice of layne and jerry movements on stage are like axl rose and slash. I think they probably still doing the alice and chains moves then
Layne Staley is probably the ONLY singer who can sound better live than on some of the recordings. Spot on every time! Truly one of a kind singer who we will probably never see the likes of again! The absolute best!
i’m not usually someone who prefers live versions of songs but this performance is stellar and anyone who was there to see it in person should consider themselves incredibly lucky
Layne looked so much like Lizzy back then! Best voice ever! Mike & Layne, rest in peace🤘 Thank you for this timeless legacy! Thank you for existing Layne and Mike!
Great video. Layne was a beast when he was clean and sober. It’s sad that heroin took over his life and what he became because of it and how his life ended.
Perfect introductory track for their debut album. Grabs you right away. "Scary" might be 1 particular loval they would see in clubs or just a term for any random person who struck them as such, in their inner-esoteric vernacular, etc. Or an imaginary drug induced hallucinogenic type friend? Eternal tribute to Scary!❤
This is funny.its title says We die young. Live , well this is in fact NOT LIVE that the studio track and the band members moving to the music lip syncing. This was made at the Art Institute of Seattle. It was their 1st music video. So don't be mis led guys I te,l the truth.
