I always thought he was a terrible choice. Even his stage presence reminds me of everything the 90s rebelled against. I mean, can you imagine Staley walking out to the crowd and going 'Everybody sing along! I can't hear you, Cleveland!'?
I confess that I had a little preconceived notion of William DuVall. But today I see that your voice is very good. He's an excellent replacement for Layne.
great tribute band. not at all the same. some African singing music he didnt write and the meaning is all gone . music and the person behind the song gives it meaning that enters the soul for life. this is just a tribute band now . has no feeling , brings nothing. but this band just wants to ride out fame they once had in the 90s. too late and too old to be popular again . so this is their only option.
Okay one you don’t speak for everyone but yourself so I disagree with your statement by saying they have no feeling or brings nothing . The fans care & obviously it means something to them to buy tickets & see them yeah Layne isn’t around anymore sucks but hey at least they sound good & the fact they want to “ride out the fame” is in really poor taste to say . I could say the same about kiss,the stones , Aerosmith , ozzy etc but those bands I just named love the music & to be on stage & they’re fans much like Alice In Chains with or without Layne as hard as it was I’m sure to even still want to perform without him . They’re doing a great job without him in my opinion
