No, you can use resin, or even water:) Just be sure to glue the bottle cork closed:D

I wouldn't say modpodge is like resin. I use both and resin looks better on a picture because it not only magnifies it but protects the picture. Like a glass cab. This a beatiful tutorial and I really want to try it.

I've made quite a few Alice in Wonderland polymer clay things recently and I wasn't exactly sure how to do this one. Thanks! I'm planning on making a keychain for Alice when I go to Disney!

Yes it's normal if you look carefully her bottle has little bubbles or you let bottle sit and most of the bubbles will float to the top and pop.
