After growing so much mentally this past year, experiencing so much heartache with dating I look back at it all too this song. All the feelings I couldn’t explain all make sense. I had to build a home that made me feel safe.

When I listened to it, I had an almost violent instant cry. It shot through my defenses like an arrow, those I put up to avoid feeling my feelings. And since then it's stuck in my head. I hope it leaves soon, it's driving me crazy, no matter how cute it is and how truthful it feels for me.

same. i realized how much of a people pleaser i am too, earlier this year (i’m 23). and slowly, i have been getting to know pieces of me that i didn’t really pay attention to for years. it’s such a liberating experience so far. i’ve got more work to do but this is progress! 🥹 i hope you’re doing a lot better at prioritizing yourself now.
