I could hear this ride from my house 2 miles away when I was a kid in the 1970's, spent the majority of my childhood on the pleasure beach, great memories
Cause I've got a golden ticket....I've got a golden chance to make my way....If they were going to play Willy Wonka music, wouldn't Pure Imagination have worked better? ;)
Everything about this ride is just magical. Even the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory music adds to the whole feel and experience of Wonderland. By far my favourite ride at the Pleasure Beach!!!
Love, Love, Love this ride. I haven't been on it for 15 plus years since I moved to California but it still gives me shivers seeing this. Its so simple, but encapsulating that it makes yo feel like a little kid every time you are on it. Long live Alice.
The cat looks evil and the cards look suspicious and unhappy, all in all the whole place is pretty creepy; I mean as much as I love the ride since being a little child, they couldn't have made it any more macabre.
I mean you could say the same about the Disney movie the cat was always creepy and the cards were always unhappy because of the way the queen treated them. Alice in wonderland kinda dark
My grandmother took me on this ride, several times in my youth in the 70's. No guard rails on the exit ramp back then. And for the comments of "That's Charlie and the chocolate factory". It is, but this ride predates it by several years.
i loved this ride our first family holiday we went to blackpool when mr funshine adorned the double ferris wheel at the entrance of the pleasure beach the octopus and funhouse were there i can remember the smell of doughnuts opposite the ride and the cuckoo waltz played ever so often i got so excited getting into the car awww happy memories
I know the source material is public domain, but this really feels like a knockoff of the Alice dark ride at Disneyland in how it's presented with the winding outdoor section. Many, though not all of character the designs were clearly based on the Disney film.
@@saz6511 No I defo smelt something in there when I went on the ride to.Ismelt a sweet smell and it defo wasn't due to Vapes as they werent out at the time(this was around 2013-2014)
Aishling Paige Hanlon I found a candle in b&m that smelt similar called something amber but then a few weeks later they must of changed what they put in them as they smell different. Bpb never reply when I ask what it is 😂🤦🏽♀️
Eldest dog sat watching this intently. Keeps pricking her ears at the cuckoo / cocking her head looking back at me now and then “The fuck is this shit?”
Last time I went on this ride I saw that they decided to change one of the scenes which didn't look like anything from Alice in wonderland or through the looking glass books. Im just worried that they might change the whole ride.
when u first go in the tunnel at 1:17 back when the ride opend there was little electronic hands that would pop out holes in the tunnel but idk if that's true or not
Rosyy xlush I was sat next to the mad hatter a couple of years back. Kept having to shift my back slightly as he kept digging his fingers into my back, when we were getting off I said finally this guy kept digging his fingers in my back.
Danielle Dewitt haha, I completely forgot about this comment as it was a year ago. Hope you didn’t have claw marks in your back from his nasty old fingers! 😂
Most terrifying rides at Blackpool: 1. Alice in Wonderland 2. Wild Mouse 3. Grand National 4. Big Dipper 5. The Big One 6. Avalanche 7. Valhalla 8. Steeplechase 9. Red Arrows 10. Revolution
I said to my sister why have we got I've got a golden ticket plating and she said I was thinking that myself. What has willy wonka got to do with Alice in wonderland, nothing lol.
