Alice Springs, the heart of Australia's Red Centre, is a place like no other and a must-visit destination in the country. Paul Murray Live ‘Our Town’ is brought to you by Harvey Norman, Sony Music Australia and NAB.
Went to Alice Springs over 20 years ago and the two highlights were the Aboriginal Cultural Center and watching the river fill in 24 hours. Now I see the city as a stop to top up on Diesel, water and food.
I just randomly open Google earth & idk why goes to Australian satellite view and just started zooming exact middle of Australia which was deserted all around but then suddenly i found this town, lol this place is so lonely in the heart of desert not any mega city around it. Then i came here and it's good to see it
Every summer gets the spectacular lightning storms in the Australia’s Red Centre and it is fun to watch during the wettest months of November to February and beware of the flash floods especially along the Todd River in Alice Springs so people got swept away from the storms. Lightning is beautiful to watch in the heart of Australia.🇦🇺
I live in Alice and its dead AF. Most of us just stay home or go to our mates house. The only time you'll get to experience the town being alive is either at the rock bar or the casino and thats about it lol.
Was just looking up places on googles maps in Bulgaria, suddenly went to Australia to try an pinpoint the middle of the desert and found this town and found this video afterwards. I live in Sofia, Bulgaria which has 1.4mil people, question is, why don’t you move out, if it is that bad and boring?
I haven't lived in Alice Springs in 14 years I Grew up there and last year and went to go visit and man it's not what it used to be. And if people say it's a great place to Visit there Lying Through their teeth. It was more welcoming 14 years ago
@@wattsy4468 From Darwin downward anyone who is not a blackfella doesn't stand a chance, just look at Tennant Creek, an alcoholic infested shithole and Alice Springs is not too far behind.
@@davidlp3019 Katherine as well. That place was a dump the 1st minute I put foot into it. Nothing to do nowhere to go. The only plus is its 4 hours from Darwin a much better place
I spent the last half of the year 1986 in this city, completing my year 11 in the Alice Springs High School. I lived with the Gillfedders in 25th Memorial Avenue, just two to three minutes walk from the school. I was participating in the unique annual festival of the city, the Heanly on Todd, of the year 1986, and it was a big fun for me. The city was nice and, having not visited it since then, I would love to visit it someday if I get chance to. 😊
@Crunchy Queef Sad to hear this. I got no story about the violence of the youth you mentioned, in regard to the city. Could you please briefly explain it any further to let me know a bit of its nature? You can also help me by giving me links to any youtube channel if there are any that you know of, that cover the story. Thank you.
I tried some bandiberg ginger beer today, I think it's the first Australian food I've ever tried, soo good. really has a nice ginger kick. and yes they did pay me for this comment. P
@@hats.71239 your correct the police wont do shit if anything happens and spend more time questioning if you started it or if you are racist in anyway. They try to prove indirectly if your racist
I go there every month during the winter months and I stay in motel with 6 foot high enclosed fence closed at night. There are drunk Aboriginals wondering around all night every night screaming, fighting etc I think you get the picture.
Around 3:30, the people getting off the 'ghan' seem like they are being held at gunpoint to say something nice about it...I think the camera crew was threatening them to force them to say something nice...this is some kind of ghan propaganda video.
@@hats.71239 No I live in Alice Springs and its heavy on the American influlance. If you don't dress like some sheep like everyone else you tend to be treated unfairly. It's hardly an accepting town for difference and certainly NOT A friendly town
Yeah its fine..IF YOU DON'T LIVE HERE. The town is BORING. Everywhere cool has closed down and the town is really feeling it. Nothing exciting ever happens here. And don't get me started on the American worship in this town. Enough of those stupid BB caps to make me want to PUKE
Went to Alice in December, it 46 degrees, almost passed out while drinking my duty free Jim beam lol. Not a bad place, just don't park your car on the street. There's alot of drunkn abos too
@@stillhftm273 yeah well lets hear you say that bullshit when your in Alice and hear "Gimme dollar Gimme cigarette" and when you dont you hear "FUCK YOU" before they put you in the hospital and the cops will spend more timing trying to prove if you are racist more so then DOING THEIR JOB"
a pity some want Australia day abolished. That is ANTI-AUSTRALIAN if people dont like Australia or Australia day then get the FUCK OUT of Australia. Allow others to enjoy it and feel pride for our country
