I actually really liked Alien: Covenant. As a big fan of both Alien AND Prometheus, I was very happy. It was almost like Prometheus and Alien mashed together, yet it still felt like its own film. Also, that random Lawn mower interlude was hilarious!

I would have liked to see the parasitic relationship become a symbiotic relationship with a human that serves as a xenomorph host and regenerates. Maybe being a permanent host gives them immortality or something (and powers), and that is how their colony is founded, with David as the leader. Daniels escapes and warns humanity. Otherwise the xenomorph colony just dies when they run out of hosts

There were parts of the story that kinda ruined the mythology but Ridley Scott is such a good director that while you're watching it you don't care and are along for the ride - probably one of the best made Alien films

I don't know man, if I go see an Alien movie I want to see Alien and that's thr main selling point.
