@@Nolofinwe86 We really are the toughest species this side of the Universe. After all we've fought off too many things to count, including the worst of our own kind. Especially if something that comes to try and take our home planet away from us, we of course would fight back until the end, to take it back.
@@stephenbyrne2170 I wouldn't say were the toughest but we don't go down without a fight very easily, and were very persistent once we start working together and fighting as one. Hell that even happens in our own history were old grudges are put aside for the greater good and we could do a lot of things once that happens
Many people have been talking about how nice it is to see humanity unite and win but what I thought was pretty interesting was that single scene showing that at least one alien species actually helped us fight back. Thats a really fun detail to add to a montage like this, I appreciate that. Imagine how great humanity could become if we had real help from an alien species, now THATS how you know humanity has made it.

The scenes that have Exo suits fighting tentacle-looking aliens is from a really good movie (Don’t remember the name) that take’s a time-loop plot and it’s really fun to watch!

Imagine aliens of different species attacking the earth at different times and being defeated by humans. Now they were all united and humans didn't expect it. But they still lost anyway, even if they have combined strength, put aside differences, and never give up, they are still defeated. It's sad to know plot armor or character development doesn't apply to them
People who hates each other tends to rally against a bigger foe, popular example being the Chinese Nationalists and the Chinese Communist united with each other to defeat the invading Japanese Imperial Army, after the Japanese were gone both of them went back to kill each other.

This is grandiose. An unimaginable amount of effort has gone into it. Still... I think that if an alien civilization decided to wipe us out, they could. Especially when considering that their weapons would be incredibly more advanced than ours.
I think they would indeed wipe out Earth's power grids, communication systems, and advanced weaponry, maybe even level the major cities, but they would still ultimately lose. Reason being, they wouldn't be here for mindless destruction, but resource extraction so they'd remain as an occupying force (given how far they traveled, it would be like if Mario at the end of the game blew up Bowser's castle instead of saving his girlfriend). Earth's population would engage in guerilla warfare and slowly wear the invaders down, who would not have any way to replenish lost spacecraft, fighting vehicles, or soldiers. After about three or four years of this, the invading aliens would decide they've had enough and leave because remaining is too costly and not worth it for them. It wouldn't be nearly as cool as the movies, but it would have a happy (or at least a bittersweet) resolution.
@@Zunnerchia You have a point. Although, you know, I would like to know which resource Earth has got that other uninhabited planets haven't. Still, if even the guerrilla warfare scenario assumes that we are still around. A civilization thousands of years ahead of us could easily create some cocktail of bugs that kills every body. I say "cocktail" because while it is possible that some people have immunity to one bug, it's virtually impossible to find somebody who has immunity to several highly deadly pathogens.
@@maxdepasquale2351 Wood and other organic resources come to mind. Things that seem unremarkable to Earthlings would be highly coveted by alien invaders. I do think though that for a lot of basic resources they'd try uninhabited planets as well as moons, comets, and small solar system objects. I do agree that they'd try something like what you suggested, though, but I doubt it'd have a 100% success rate. I would definitely expect they try some kind of bioweapon like that, though (likely they'd just need to bioengineer a few deadly Earth viruses). But I think a higher percentage of humanity would survive than some might think. A lot of "superbugs" have slow spread rates, so those who have them could be isolated and contagious ones have a high survival rate. However, I do think the population would be halved through warfare, succumbing to disease, and other factors, which is a horrifying thought to go from 8 billion to 4 billion in just a few years, there's still a numbers advantage on Earth's side (the aliens likely would number less than 100,000, and their losses would be permanent). So it'd be kind of a pyrrhic victory for humanity, more of a "whew, we survived" than "yay, we won". That would make a good premise for a horror movie, btw. A deconstruction of the alien invasion genre with surprisingly realistic outcomes.

In movies and shows, we always portray ourselves as a warrior race when encountering alien civilizations. Which is entirely true anyway, if faced with a new potential threat, humans that have killed each other for thousands of years will turn this gift of violence onto anything off our planet.

What an outstanding, suspenseful, action packed compilation of alien invasion movies!! It had me on the edge of my seat, had me in tears, and had made me proud. If only all the countries of the world could see this and learn from it, that we must as a race of people work together in order to endure our world and continue humanity, it must be done as ONE.
the problem is, why there is no "good alien" like ET? most video is bad invasion alien? because alien movie is a fiction, fiction that comes from imagination, and sadly most human imagination is come from their habits, their act, etc. like how native American being wipe out, how nazy kill the jews. So before we can unite and work together we need to correct the way we think, we need to learn love, because it showing our act
If only we had the capability to work together as a planet without the persuasion of the likes of conflict etc, we just did it. Humanity is strong but only if we work together not against each other.

Wouldn't it be something if Aliens saw our movies put out there? Like in the plot of Galaxy Quest, and they thought it was historical documents? They'd be thinking, "what did they do to piss off so many galactic civilizations?"

Never got why aliens invade Earth in every movie when they could just throw a couple big asteroids at us and there's little we could do about that (Kurzgesagt did an amazing video about that and The Expanse was the only show I've seen that showed that). Or if you wan to keep the planet just throw some bio weapons from orbit
@@maximipe Its better for them to just send expedition teams rather than wiping out the entire planet of life. Having humans that can't fight back? Free labour! Many facilities intact? No need to build their colony from scratch! There's a reason why total anhialation would only do harm to both sides than good.
That was such an excellent movie with all of the space ships and the tera-forma monsters attacking the earth. The people running and buildings falling...cool.
