Although It is true for the most part, the problem was when they tested It on the set that was completely submerged because poor Tom Woodruff couldn't see or breath properly inside the suit. Yeah, the CG was distracting but It was that or drown poor Tom.
@@hntr-j2323 Well we can't act like the original was all perfect either. Especially when it leaps out with it's arm in the air. It's so cheesy. I can see why it wasn't shown until the director's cut.
@@brandonspain12345 well, I mean, there are definitely one or two imperfect shots of the creature in the first. But it’s disappointing they strayed from the template the original film set in the sequels, which was removing the biomechanical elements and not getting a bloke who is nearly 7 ft, like Bolaji Badejo, play the Alien. If you look at all the behind-the-scenes stuff from Alien, it is pure artistry. All I’m saying is the Alien got shorter and noticeably more rubbery as the films went on, & subsequently got less and less nightmarish.
John Slavin you mean the practical effects( creature design set design ) or digital.? I'd say some of the CG stands up fairly well One thing I can never decide is if I like the design of the Aliens , the heads seem to short & the ribcage doesn't extend as far as the Original , The first time we ever saw the Xenomorph's inner jaw & it'd fully grown form just puts the fear of god in me , they way its shaking with anticipation of its first kill as a fully grown creature just chills me , no other Xenomorph has put that fear into me , not even the queen , she is spectacular , but she can't blend in like a regular Xenomorph & she is somewhat vulnerable with her eggsack The New Born .............. I dont like it , BUT I give them applause for making something new & different although I would have preferred to see the version of the "NewBorn" that looked like a mashup of Ripley & a Queen , that could have bought giger back in to design it , but they thought they would be copying SIL from species
I love that there's a real monster there acting instead of that CGI crap. The actor in that suit has to be just as invested. They put him through the ropes. The movements are choreographed to the 9's. It looks so authentic.
Love the video. Thank you for posting it. We need more Resurrection videos. It's amazing to me how much work is put into the creation of one suit. This is my favorite Alien Warrior. And you deserve all the praise on THIS design. Love the water sequences and how the tail seems to come alive. Fantastic work.
why aren't they using similar suits and animatronics to make Godzilla movies. Come on, it would be interesting to see a Godzilla movie with modern day practical effects. I can totally see 1998 godzilla made with a suit like this
was just talking to a guy at a Halloween contest who had a predator costume, "very well done i might add" been bumping into the guy for years, so i told him IF i make one of these i'll give him a call so we can meet up.
"I'm laughing Jordu" - as in, Jordu Schell? I didn't know he worked on this until now! Ever since I saw him on TV, probably on Making Monsters or Face-Off, I've seen his name pop up all over the place in terms of practical effects monsters and prosthetics. An absolute legend. I didn't like the movie all that much, but I love seeing all the careful artistry and engineering that went into creating it.
I don't mind if some movie is better ir worst, xenomorphs are xenomorphs and they look as menacing as the first one in Ridley Scott's Alien. I said xenomorph, not neomorph or protomorph or that new born human like morph, I said xenomorph, you know what I mean. 😉
All of these actors for xnos and preds get all the movements wrong. They make it look so robotic more cosplay than how real creatures would move. They spend too much time flexing than fighting or moving.
WORSTXB1PLAYER Tyler Tee H C why u hating on a teen xeno brah? He is growing up... geez. Lmao 🤣 nah but yeah I get you, still a sick ass suit but that’s one of the reasons why they added the hind legs as a post cgi effect too. Which I think was very cool. I like my xenos in all kinds of ways but I’ll admit the hind legs give em an extra touch of monster and creep and over all high if it was really that tall standing in front of you.
