lol it was an insult to the first movie so they find the nostromo wreckage that was blasted over the size of Iowa and the original alien just happened to be there and they revive it it kills most of the stations crew then they bring ash model robot back who was cheesy AF and his directive is get black goo to the company and that last creature that came out of acid filled football kay have birth to trying to tie it into the retarded engineers from Prometheus , give me a break our audience was dead silent and you couldn’t understand the characters the dad jokes went un heard not a single giggle in the audience and since when does the alien get in a sac on its growth cycle these new directors add so much crap just leave the originals alone , man I never thought I’d say resurrection is better than another alien movie , the new born in resurrection was much scarier and it’s demise being sucked out the hole was sad and nightmarish . sad just sad pls stop on the alien franchise . Guess the kids will like this , I’m a 54 YO who grew up with original and aliens , alien cubed does not exist in my mind either , nor does Romulus . It actually reminded me of a really good cut scene in a video game , great references to alien isolation but it’s not a video game 😅 Who writes these crappy scripts and who green lights it ??
@@YTPremiumWatch Now all we need is a movie about a guy named "Romulus". I can only imagine how dynamic he would be! Just based off the name. The ladies would be swooning!🤔💥😍
This is why the xenomorphs looked so cool! I'm so happy they decided to use actual props instead of just making it only cgi, the final effect was amazing! ALSO I NEED THIS ANIMATRONIC IN MY HOUSE
@@reviewplay1157Agreed. Close the Prometheus/Covenant recklessness & start anew- back from the Top! It’s too legendary not to continue. This was a great start
No matter how good or bad this movie ends up being, I honestly have major respect for them sticking mainly with practicals 👏 But I thought the movie was pretty solid, like an 8.5/10. Definitely the best since Aliens
The movie is almost entirely cgi. Yall literally just don't know when you're looking at cgi or not. You will never see this robot in the film. It's been replaced by a cgi model. It severed as a refence but to call this practical is ridiculous
My sister literally screamed during the movie 😂😂I was like ?????? It was hilarious. She got the full experience. We all grew up on these movies, she’s the oldest lmao 😂
I used to hate the animat rigs because they were rigid and would have exaggerated stops and would jerk around at its max range of motion, but this is damn near flawless! It looks so organic!! Out-fkn-standing!!!
@drhexagonapus many of the shots were still full cgi tho. The cgi was just don't well. This movie probably had more cgi shots than every other alien movie yet. They were good cgi and that's why people can't tell. Good cgi is invisible.
I’ve always thought the Queens were works of art. Beautiful for what they are. Giger’s design is second to none. And I want that stunning animatronic figure in my house.
This movie had a PERFECT combination of practical effects and CGI that’s actually good. They did what AVP 2004 did. The importance of practical effects and CGI used together for a sci fi.
Regardless of whether or not you liked the movie, you gotta give credit to the team for using practical effects whenever possible. When you watch interviews with the cast and crew, you can tell that they put a lot of hard work into the visuals and they had fun bringing them to life.
I think a lot of people here forget how much CGI is in Alien Romulus, there is a lot of practical effects but also a lot of CGI, but its an incredibly good balance, theres no better or either or when it comes to CGI vs Practical, both should be used when it needs to be used
I give lots of props for people not overusing CGI nowadays it seems like the easy way out, it still blows my mind the first movie was a guy in a suit he nailed it
I actually super loved the movie, especially the end part. That thing disrespectfully earned it's place in my nightmares. I don't think I've ever seen a monster in a movie that creeped me out as bad as that, and I've been an extreme horror buff for 11 years
I love “alien” franchise, it still scares me every time I watch any of them, that is what I call a great horror movie 😁 I cannot wait to see it in cinema 😍
Going back to old school.. more animatronics .. less CGIs.. great!! . That was why action movies in the 80s were great.. they were real.. and not just made up on the screen.
The funny thing is people say this about movies with some of the largest cgi budgets. You just don't know what cgi looks like. I'm sure this movie will have more cgi shots than any alien movie before it. They advertise practical because people like you
@ACFUN34 go watch the video series "no cgi is really just invisible cgi" it will explain how studios are advertising all their practical effects yet everything is still cg and popular like yall claim to "be able to see how much better practical is over cgi" while referring to a cgi scene.
@@zachmondial2172 Oh my gosh! You were right, bro. I just watched the fourth part of the 'no CGI is just invisible CGI' series. They lie about using practical effects when, in fact, they use CGI. 🤦♂️😅
