Okay but ya’ll definitely should have watched Prometheus and Covenant because it’s explains the black goo and the engineer/xeno hybrid at the end 😭😭 but I think if you watch them after it’ll be a “AHA” moment
This movie sent me for such a loop. From Cailee Spaeny free falling then getting caught by a Xenomorph's tail to a giant Morph-ussy being probed right before my eyes. Fede really did it this time, y'all. 🤯😱😻
Idk who told you not to watch Prometheus or Alien: Covenant, but they were absolutely wrong. Both of those films provide the backbone for the second half of this movie lmao.
And at least Prometheus and covenant were original films with good acting and a terrifying android. Unlike this film which was an absolute disaster in my opinion. This film was the force awakens of the alien series.
@@77jamess yeah the humans of this movie were very mid (if andy who was an emotionless robot was the one who gave the best, then there's sort of an issue 😅) the aliens though, UGH! terrifying!!!!!
Yeah, they’re not bad at all. i did see some of the alternative scripts for Covenant and honestly? It could’ve been better by giving Dr. Shaw a proper role, instead of how the final scrip went like. But other than that? They’re alright.
When I saw this in theaters, my stomach DROPPED when I first caught a glimpse of that hybrid. I almost shed a tear when she got rid of it cause yeah, it was THAT intense.
@@jean5416 then why are you watching a reaction video for Alien: Romulus? That’s like if I went to watch reactions for Alien 3 (the actual worse movie of the franchise but go off)
@@jean5416What’s worst is your sad pathetic attempt at attention seeking no one cares about your opinion your in the minority it’s a brilliant film and up there with aliens and alien and it’s the best film way better than alien 3, ressurection, Prometheus, covenant romulas is by far the best film so you can crawl back under your minority rock now along with all the other roaches byeeeeeee
The ties to Prometheus/Covenant are too strong to ignore. Not having seen them made you miss out on some delicious connections... the look of Kay's "baby," for instance.. I recommend those two ASAP 😁
Idk if it's just me but when Andy got that upgrade and got demure lol....running through Them slimy halls showing off that strength...giiiiirrrllll... MORE andy in the sequel please...the actor is AMAZING! He really grabs your attention.
Saw this with my sister. We agreed, under these circumstances, if one of us got taken, the other one is to GO! Do not come back for me, it’s too much of a risk. 😂
The only thing I didn’t understand was how they were only relying on hypersleep to get there. It’s only 9 years so pack up the ship and go on a road trip and take turns in hyper sleep…And even with the 3 years that was still more than nothing.
2:30 Ripley exploded Nostromo in the OG, lol. 6:35 He speaks Mother and lives on white liquid, it's good to see that we survived in the future. 10:20 I mean depends, if the ship can produce sustainable food. Cause that's just 6 years chilling with the crew. I would take that over mines. 13:15 Wait - each pod has 3 years left. Girly is totally getting there, if they both survive the whole ordeal (I hope it's not the "everyone dies" type of movie). Cause she can just reuse the ones other people would have been using, if they weren't aliened. 18:10 OMG they brought Ash model synthetic back!
I didn’t know there really are people who watch reaction videos to movies they haven’t seen yet! I can’t do it, feels like I’ll never watch it myself once I to
@@Wraiven22 I only do it to horrors, cause I am a little baby and watch a lot of reactions as like podcasts, when I'm doing stuff at home. And sometimes to like really low rated movies, I know I won't be ever watching. Romulus I was supposed to watch on my own, but then the need of completing the "set" in the reactions was stronger after I missed opportunity to see it in cinema. And to be fair this is one movie I know I will be watching on my own many times still, especially as with how relatively well it did - they totally gonna make another one, which will be perfect opportunity to watch it all over, just to get all the small references.
Freaking loved this movie reminds me so much of the game isolation while getting that feel from the first movie in ways, and other than that weird human creature (just feel short for me) 9/10 honestly. It was my birthday yesterday so this upload feels like a gift I’ve been WAITING!😂
@@Wraiven22 I didn’t hate it but I can’t put my finger on what exactly fell short for me like the creature design itself was cool and knowing it’s a legit guy is also cool but idk lol it was creepy but also a tad goofy.
Oh my god I love you guys so much I live alone so watching your reaction videos feels like I'm watching these movies with my friends! Your videos always cheer me up and even though I have my notifications set to All I find myself checking everyday 😂 I've even become a Patreon which I've never done before and okay it's the free level but as soon as my payday arrives I'll be seeing you guys at the patch and I'll be diving head first Straight into the Petty Pumpkin Podcast Tier patch! Your channel is the best one I've found and my favorite!Thank you guys so much!❤🎃🎃🎃
I had the pleasure of seeing this film in D-BOX seating in theaters. Insane to watch the zero-G scenes and feel yourself tilt and float around with them.
true. i think this is just me but if the characters have unlimited amount of stupidity in horror movies, i'm rooting for the antagonists and siding with the bad guys. i think the qualification of most horror characters is foolishness and disregard, it upsets me but it entertain me cus i want the protagonists to be demolished.
there is so many easter eggs in the film you have to watch it more than once , i did not like ridley scotts narrative with the artificial inteligence creating new humans ,and his greek myths , but i accept his narrative but not the true one. The official line is the very first engineers used body parts for their ships to travel the universe , they also made what known as the beta engineers , who created the humans . If you read the books and gigers books you will fine the real lore behind the xenomorph that can survive space and hostile envoirememnts on planets or planetoids . Ridley put the creation of the xenomorphs in AI hands which i saw his idea but although they could learn how much data can they be given for a specific job ,and for the data firmware to fix any issues that they may have . but i prefer gigers version , but the film is really good and the actor who played the AI needs a well deserve Oscar.
There is actually connections in this to the prometheus mocies etc. Definitely wouldve been best to watch them all first but maybe you guys will connect some stuff when u get to those.
Also, yall should check out Civil War if you haven’t. One of my favorites, if not the favorite of the year. Cailee and Kirsten Dunst were serving in that film honey ❤❤❤
This was the best in house theater experience I have had in years, like no exaggeration, I was GLUED to my seat, the sound design sucked me in, I was so happy to see a modern alien movie GIVE IT the right way wooooooo
The first is a classic for sure but the whole series is respectable. I mean sig kills it in every sing one that shes in. I enjoy your content so much u 2 really cheer me up. Give Messiah of Evil a reaction watch. Please please! Ahead of its time. Cinematic photography is eerily stunning.
Whoever said you didn't need to watch Prometheus before this lied to you. Prometheus actually explains the black goo that they extracted from the Alien and why it acts the way it does.
First time i found some reactors watching the full movie!! When i and my friend watched in theaters bothof us jump to our sits haha😂 by the way idk if you watch lgbt horror movies but i found one called swalloed (2022)if you are interested to watch .
See... when I finally watched this with my man last night, I had to pause at the cocoon scene. Then I said to him "now I know that's not what I think it is".😆😆😆
Looove your videos ❤ you could do one of Misson Impossible Fallout, with gorgeous Henry Cavill 😍 Speaking of gorgeousness, after watching your reaction to talented Mr Ripley the algorithm recommended me this: 😅 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bUhj5mBK8nQ.htmlsi=jN9isZurUUEOHOM0
this movie fucking bangs! i love the original alien and this one makes me realize how ahead of the time it was. but regardless this movie clears most of the 5 other alien movies excluding alien cause that has to be 1 either way
What I like about Cailee is, aside from being a great actor, is that she just looks regular, normal. She's not like super pretty but she's attractive. If that makes sense. She has charisma.
As someone who binged the entire Alien and Predator franchises (just in case they tired anything to AvP, which I have since learned is not canon, which is a good thing) for the first time to watch this for Isabela Merced, I was extremely upset that she not only ended up dying thanks to Andy's corruption at the hands of the company and Rook, but that her death was so uncomfortable. She was straight up milked to death.
how was there any debris left of the nostromo after the explosion of a fusion plant and the alien was blasted out of the engin ... means it would be no where near the site of the explosion or otherwise
Watch Event Horizon for sure! Not your typical "space movie." Has a nice twist to space travel. One of the best sci fi/horror films I've ever scene. One hell of a movie.
I don't know if you noticed but when Rain goes to apply to leave, on the computer it says that she is eligible, I have the impression that the company is doing everything to keep people on the planet to mine... (I don't think Bjorn was the 'dad' of Kay's baby, isn't he the cousin or something ? 💀)
Saying all AI are not the same is like buying a microwave and the manual warns: Sorry not all microwaves are the same this one may or may not cook everything all the way through lol. They are machines like your laptop. They better be the same, that's what you pay for. A trusted performance.
I honestly don't know who told you that you could watch Alien: Romulus without having seen the other films, but they definitely made a big mistake. This latest film has countless references to Alien: Resurrection and the two prequels, all details that you surely missed while watching Alien: Romulus, and it's really a great shame.
I wanted to ask, I found your channel after the Totally Killer review, so I'm kinda new. Why is your channel called Pretty Pumpkins or calling your subs Pretty Pumpkins? Also, for some reason, the name I would give for the baby Xeno is 'Connie'. Again, dunno why, just thought: Connie.
I'm not sure who told you that it's all clear to watch this without watching aby of the others films. I mean... I suppose you can, but there are so many references to other movies, and considering the movie's entire plot stems from the direct aftermath of the first film, then I'd say it's absolutely recommended to watch the others before this. Or at least Prometheus, Alien: Covenant, and Alien. But maybe you liked this one so much that you'll check out the others. Edit: Okay. I guess as long as you've seen the first film, then you're good.
