I just turned 50 and I’m technical writer to pay the bills, but I still play bass and go to shows and my military SyFy novels are getting published and I when I write I listen to all types of metal and my books are not steam punk they have molten lava Metal style’ ! In fact In one of my books the aliens are scared of certain sounds and the human armies each adopted a different metal song as their battle song!
A couple months ago they were at Window Rock on the Navajo Nation in the middle of northern Arizona. From what I've heard the American indigenous metal heads like Alien Weaponry's music as much as Anglo metal heads do, Samuel.
Just saw them with Black Label Society and The Black Dahlia Murder. Holy shit, big sound! Especially for a 3 piece. Blew me away. And found out they're not even 18.

All these haters need to go watch Ru Ana Te Whenua and Raupatu before talking shit. This is a solid song, but man...when they flex their Maori language/heritage into metal, they are like the new age Cavalera era Sepultura.
Josh Harasty I agree with you too Cuz, what these young Cuzzies have accomplished is taking them to places they promised to each other they would perform at when they were starting out. They have certainly made themselves known by bridging the gap between Te Reo Maori & METAL \m/\m/ something that I don't have to dream about anymore. And They tore the fuckin roof off over a week ago in Sydney which had the privilege of going to & having a brief korero with them & thanking them in da flesh, they even made me pull out all my old Metal stuff back out and appreciate it again with Te reo Maori incorporated into the equation...... Now if that doesn't something about Alien Weaponry then those Haters out there can go and get FUCKED🖕🏽🖕🏽

I love it, definitely has a 99 to 2002 vibe miss that sound reminds me of the late 80's thrash metal God's. Alien Weaponry does thrash with respect. This band will definitely do well in the US. Keep making music guys. Need this album.

The instrumentals feel like what St Anger should have sounded like. That’s why this band is killer, they feel as if it’s the closest thing to if Metallica returned to their thrash sound post-Load/Reload. I know that’s a bit of a statement, but it was honestly the though that struck me upon hearing Tu. Fucking killing my doods. Keep up the good work.

Oh dudes, first I want to let you know that you are doing awesome, and you are by now on of my favorite new bands but don't let any discography change your sound or your imagery, your project is so original, with the lyrics in Maori language (I'm not saying English doesn't fit but that was part of your originality), with your characteristic sound, that heavy sound, talking about the Maori culture and history, don't let the media, discography change that for you, this song is not bad but there is something that doesn't fit and it may be the ''beginning'' of your originality being fucked up. Please keep doing and working your roots, it's different, it has potential everybody was blown away when we listened to your music for the first time. Just listen to Urutaa, Raupatu, PC Bro, Christchurch, Hypocrite, Rū Ana Te Whenua, those songs truly represent your particular sound, your power, your attitude, that's how ''maori'' metal should be like. I don't want to judge the entire album by one particular song but let's wait for the full record and see.
