Aliens (1986) First Time Watching [Movie Reaction] 

One of my favorite movies of all time. Whenever I hear Marion say Game Over I always think of Hudson saying it. This was a full circle moment 😂

I loved how she laughed when he said “facehuggers” but he actually guessed it right lol.

Hudson: "Hey , Vasquez, you ever been mistaken for a man?" Vasquez: "No...have you?" 😄

Bill Paxton (Hudson GAME OVER, MAN) is the only actor to be killed by a Terminator (The Terminator), a Xenomorph (Aliens) and a Predator (Predator 2). Sadly he passed away a few years ago. Also, since I haven't seen anyone mention it, Paul Reiser (Burke) was so good at playing such a bastard his own mother cheered at his character's death when she saw this movie.

Nominated for 7 Oscars: Best Actress Sigourney Weaver Best Sound Editing Best Sound Mixing Best Visual Effects, Stan Winston, Robert Skotak, and John Richardson Best Film Editing, Ray Lovejoy Best Original Score, James Horner Best Production Design, Peter Lamont It won Best Visual Effects and Sound Mixing It made $193 million dollars ($600 million dollars today) against an $18 million dollar budget. It's now considered to be the best Sci-fi Action movies ever made.

"Get away from her, you BITCH!" is one of the most badass lines in moviedom.

And you talked over, and missed, the best line in the movie. At the end, after the doors are sealed and the alien has gone Newt grabs Ripley and says "Mommy". Brings a tear to my eye every time.

Within a time frame of 10 seconds we got the 2 best lines from the movie!...."Game Over, Man!" and "They mostly come at night, mostly" :D

You just watched the "Director's Cut" of the film. In the theatrical version they showed none of those colony scenes where Newt's parents found the alien ship and her father came back with a facehugger. Thus there was more of a mystery when the Colonial Marines got to the planet.

ALIEN was a haunted house in outer space; ALIENS is a rollercoaster. Such an entertaining chapter in the franchise with Weaver in top form; kudos to a stellar supporting cast incl. the late, great Bill Paxton & the late Stan Winston's astounding f/x including the Queen Alien!

When Marion said "Game Over" I almost choked on my food because that is what Bill Paxton's character Pvt. Hudson says in the movie as he is started to freak out. hahahah

Dude's right. Aliens take on physical characteristics of their hosts. That's why you have all sorts of different types of aliens. From runners, to gorillas, to even predaliens. Also, when they reach certain stages of their life cycles, they metamorphosize into different forms, starting from facehugger, to chest burster, to drone, to praetorian to queen (and a few others I'm not up for getting into to).

As a kid I totally wore out the dvd of this movie Lol. I feel that the "company" DEFINITELY knew what was going on. If they truly wanted to destroy the xenomorphs, they would have sent a well-seasoned commander and at least a few ships with several brigades(?) worth of marines. If Ripley stayed home, Burke's plan to impregnate the others would have worked, and likely would have killed everyone on Earth...

At the very end of the credits, when the screen fades to black, you can hear the sound of an alien face-hugger egg opening (which brings us into Alien 3).

Best movie in the franchise. What's amazing was how female centric it was. Vasquez and ripley ran rings around the guys. And the final battle was between 2 mothers bc theres nothing mire vicious than a mother protecting her young. They will fu*k u up!

Fantastic you are watching the Special Edition! I always feel bad whenever someone watches this for the first time, and makes the mistake of getting the shorter (less clear) version.

I personally love the first two films! I like them all but the first 2 ... chef's kiss! Enjoy the franchise!

One of my top 5 favorite SciFi Movies. I remember watching this when it came out in a times square theater. It was standing, clapping and cheering in the audience when Ripley finally closed that airlock after spacing the Alien. I went back to see it at least three times. That is a good assessment. The Aliens do take on some traits or characteristics of their hosts. The 80s had a lot of great movies. Movies that are memorable and Iconic to this day, like Aliens. There have been other movies and TV shows that copied elements from Aliens.

Masterpiece ever. The best sequel ever. Greatness

I just wish they hadn't included that nightmare in the hospital. Burke had given so much important information in that scene, then it turned out to be a dream, which calls all that information into question. It was the only flaw in an otherwise excellent movie. The drones don't care about the "babies," or themselves. Only the Queen cares about the survival of the hive. Using the flamethrower on the body just woke them up.

Ripley=Alienslayer...Love it! Aliens is one of my favorite films of all-time. So glad you two reacted to it.😊💚

Marion you are on the ball with the host of the baby alien passing on traits of the host to the alien baby...becomes more obvious in the next movie, but Alien 3 is not very popular. I don't see other reaction channels watching it. Thanks guys!

Next you should watch the prequel to Alien! That movie is called, “Prometheus”. There you’ll get more of an idea about the origins of the alien(s).

Back in the 90s, local Laser-Tag/Arcade hangout had sound-fx from Aliens like “Game Over Man! Game Over!” 😂

The end fight is so intense that nobody notices how well-made it was. No CGI. It looks awesome.

I like this movie, I watched it back in the 90s as a child, it was very interesting, I wasn't even afraid! I'm really looking forward to Avatar 2 from James Cameron, he hasn't shot any failed films yet) I respect this director there are few of them left now, the old guard!

What a perfect defence mechanism with acid for blood. That was the best thing about these flicks. And of course James Cameron for directing this.

Peter Parker knew about the dangers of aliens laying eggs in people. He was well prepared for his trip to outer space..... 😁

You had an interesting observation I never heard before and never thought of: the alien that killed their pilot/co-pilot sacrificed itself, as it also died in the aircraft crash. "Game over..."😆

40:05 *Marian* is correct in that the alien development is based partially on the physiology of the host. For instance, were a facehugger to lay an egg inside of a cow, one might see a four-legged alien with horns. I highly recommend you skip *Alien³* and the others. Marion got it right with the DNA theory at the end. Perfect, they go deeper into this with the comic, books and other movies. When they attach to dogs, they come out doglike.. etc. Very good observation!

The first time I saw "Alien" in a movie theater, I wasn't overly impressed. A well done haunted house story in space. Ok... But the first time I saw this movie in a theater, I could barely drive home safely because of the excess adrenaline. A truly memorable movie-going experience. I don't think the extended version adds anything important enough to detract from the original's breakneck pace. We care about Newt and understand Ripley's maternal instincts even without their backstories. Don't need our noses rubbed in it.

I've seen this movie many times and watched other reactions to it, but this was the best! Love you two!

Sigourney Weaver carried this movie, the sequel to ALIEN, James Cameron refused to Direct at first, when Fox Studios originally wanted to greenlight the sequel without Ripley. More action, less horror, although there was still hints here and there, and that's certainly not a bad thing.A near equal to Ridley Scott's original, all the supporting cast were brilliant, getting into their characters in so far as training to be Marines for real, going on manoeuvres and drills, learning how to field strip their weapons, etc. Hicks and Vasquez were my favourites. Marian is exactly right. The aliens are adaptive beings. They use humans as hosts and thereby absorb human characteristics.

yup , aliens Take on the characteristics of the host Well, a percentage of it.. They can also go to other lifeforms, like there could be a rhino, alien type, Gorilla type ,Dog type , other alien types.. lol But yeah, the human ones are the more advanced ones You should see some of the hybrids they have they make pretty cool action figures..

i love the fact that you guys understand the previous movie to be able to understand what the director is telling you as you move into the next movie. So many people seem to have short term memory loss.............but you guys seem to watch movies and understand, and rememmber them. So many people dissapoint me when they watch movies in a superficial manner................you dont.

Jones is the cat and the dream sequence is just that but yes, she was out there that long length of time.

If Ripley doesn’t empty her weapon into the egg-layer and all her eggs, they could easily have made it onto the ship, and all the aliens would still have been destroyed.

Great conclusion about alien using the host's DNA. Sequels use this extensively.

You guys just watched my favorite version of my favorite movie. A movie does follow it called Alien 3. I do not recommend it, but if you do insist, then I recommend watching the Assembly Cut of Alien 3. I thoroughly enjoyed your video. Keep up the good work!
