Hello. Nice job. A few years ago I built and painted my own set of armour out of Sintra using pepakura files, which was super cheap, and a perfect fit. On the body armour the upper most long shoulder piece should be attached with elastic through a hole on the back plate to give you more manouverability. The ear piece needs to be higher to fit your ear, which requires you to remove a section of the helmet to allow the ear part to swing under the helmet. Sadly, I no longer have the armour, but I am planning to build some again out of HD EVA foam. Enjoy the cons, as it is great stomping about in all the gear. 👍🏻 Stay Frosty.

I live here in the UK, bought real armour from Terry English directly (hicks) look. (Signed by Terry and Michael Beihn) Snow wolf pulse rifle, chef creations shoulder lamp, real belt tool conversion, real vietnam era boots. Aluminium grenades ect. Fully working SD studios locator. Love the whole fan base to bits. What a special film.

I purchased a set of armor from golden armor back in 2006 - it was good armor but needed some work,that’s true . A few parts needed replaced due to incidental damage thru the years , but that’s just the nature of trooping - i actually just ordered another set from him as my first one has finally been retired after 15 years of trooping ....

It would have been impossible for me to put it together. All the pics on his site were of the finished armor so I was gutted when a box of parts showed up in the mail. He’s since added a disclaimer but I still think having pics of the finished armor right at the top is misleading.

@@AlexPlaysVideoGamez I always assume any armor I buy is in kit form - I’ve been cosplaying and trooping since 1990 , a founding member of several major costume groups and usually of the armor sets are coming finished the seller will make a big deal out of letting you know that and the price will be significantly higher ....

I acquired a set of armor from Golden and my only gripe is the lack of details. The underside has some great details, but it’s really soft on the outside. Your chest armor has some good details at the center. Did you additional material to the center area to get it to pop out bit more in detail?

@@AlexPlaysVideoGamez I got a set with some friends as we all intended to trim it and complete a set, but the team of friends stepped away and left me with the load. I trimmed it, sanded it and after seeing the team and how they were helping, I abandoned it and left it in a box. It sits waiting to be put together and painted, but trimming and sanding are completed. I’ve considered buying my own set of chest armor and restarting with the top half, but I can’t seem to shake the experience I had with the team. I figured I would apply a few layers of resin under the armor (I’m lazy at this point, so I might abandon the resin) and adhere some sort of either dense fabric or thin foam like material to the underside as I really hate seeing it bare. I would go with Spat, but a year for armor is a long wait and at the price, I would prefer 3-6 months. Golden is a good price for a kit, but you are 100% correct when saying only for those that know what to expect. It’s a project and certainly not a simple job.

I'm thinking going to cosplay as a combat drop pilot. I got my motion tracker and the pulse rifle ready. Like to get a full armor, but it's too rich for my xeno blood. So I'll get some pilot overalls, a cap, pair of headset and some patches and I'll be all set.
