Ha, so cool! I was the a Game Designer, Lead Level Designer, Writer, and Cinematic Director for AvP 2 (we wore a lot of hats back in the day). Thanks for posting this! We had a ton of fun on this project but man, it was a tough one to ship!
When I was 15, I rushed to the PX (Army version of Walmart) and was first in line to buy this game with my lawn mowing money. I have played all three campaigns all the way through multiple times and played online until the servers stopped being supported. Thank you and your team for all of the hard work you put into this. It is by far my favorite game of the all time and the high watermark of the Aliens franchise in games.

@@user-yq5kw2gt8r Первый фильм avp, такое ощущение, основан на одном уровне с храмом из первой игры 1999 года. На этом уровне как раз есть рисунки в храме где древние люди поклоняются Хищникам. Но фильм (хоть честно сказать мне он понравился) ни в какое сравнение не идёт с сюжетом игры avp2, где есть развитие лора, руины расы пилотов, хорошие антагонисты с предысторией, характером и мотивацией. В общем после того как я перепрошёл avp2, у меня бомбит от сюжетов фильмов и avp2010 (которые норм, если не помнишь avp2).
Because most of the suits running the companies are stupid. Ridley Scott and James Cameron knew this and added it to their movies. This story would be an instant HIT at the box office and would not change the cannon of the originals, and would require only minor script editing. But alas the ones who are on the boards are very educated, but dumb in common sense. We used to call those people "educated idiots".
I feel this was your best one yet. I especially liked how you avoided killing unarmed civilian personnel as the Predator. Great attention to detail to make it that much more authentic.
To this day AVP2 is still the best game ever you did a great job with the camera cuts and timeline events man we need more games like this now and days i miss 2001.
This is from 2001?! Wow this half life 1-2 game is a masterpiece. Frosty got lucky and survived the worst while saving everyone from the marine spaceship about the trap and betrayal. Aliens won again, but the timeline long
After so many years, now I finally understand the plot of the game. I was very young when this game came out, didn't understand english that well, and was to scared to play any campaign other than the xenomorph. It's kinda crazy how both antagonists had a obsession with the different species.
This game still is way cooler than the modern AVP games currently and has way more of a plot that has you wanting to know more and follow along through the entire story of each playthrough. But here in this vid, we see it all in such perfect Chronological order that makes it a movie masterpiece!
God i miss playing AvP2.. this just hit so different! Also it took me this long to realize that the Iron Bears may have succeeded in creating a bioweapon to take down the Yautja, terrifying thought.. And giving Eisenberg them monologues made him more of a character especially towards the end.. love it dude!
Simply the AVP movie we need 😂 This game is OG. Man, I remember playing this game when I was little, such a nostalgia. Thank you so much for putting this together.
There's an incredible cast of actors in this game: Gary Schwartz, voice of Heavy and Demoman in Team Fortress 2, plays Eisenberg; Jeff Steitzer, voice of Halo's multiplayer announcer, voices Rykov; Jen Taylor, Halo's Cortana, voices Tomiko; And David Scully, voice of Jones and varied other cast, played Sgt. Johnson in Halo. All this in 2001, the same year Halo: Combat Evolved launched! Busy year for those 3, and Gary Schwartz kept busy until his slingshot to glory in 2007 with TF2. I played AVP2 more than I played Halo that year, that's for certain. Simply remarkable use of the material, and I've yet to see a game interweave multiple storylines quite the same way they managed here. Great cuts and editing here, excellent work, and thank you for making the effort to post this here.
Finally! The game of my childhood. The game which is one of the most famous projects of "Monolith Productions". The game that I will always remember. The game that is very inspired by the movie universe "Alien" and "Predator". The game that has already had it's 20th anniversary, it deserves a remaster or maybe a remake (theoretically). And this is... "ALIENS versus PREDATOR 2". Thank you for your work, DeeALup! 👍
You don't think that F.E.A.R. is more famous than AvP2??? Or even scarier......EXCUSE me.....but I love AvP2 but F.E.A.R. made me "sh*t" myself... :D :D :D
@@KilljoySR This is just my opinion. In general, when I first played AVP 2, especially at the beginning of the game as a Marine, it was really scary. Dark corridors, screamers, music, Aliens appearing out of nowhere. As for F.E.A.R., it’s not very scary, only in the DLC’s, namely: “Extraction Point” and “Perseus Mandate”. I'm not saying it sucks, F.E.A.R is good too.
@SakuragiSayo to be fair, he's right about this whole campaign being better through and through with how the stories and even our characters overlapping. Some of the gameplay was better in AvP 2010, but I'll take the Alien lifecycle any day as part of the gameplay too.
Я не пишу обычно комментарии, но чел, серьёзно, это колоссальный труд. Снять все эти ракурсы свободной камеры, смонтировать, потом ещё доп диалоги добавить, а ещё перевести почти каждое слово игре и впихнуть в субтитры почти на 4 часа! Это мощь. У тебя за счёт этого лучшие игрофильмы на ютубе.
Fantastic job! I love it very much! I love that you always adding in it so much extra like the cutted dialogs, scenes which the player wouldnt see (for example i never saw the Empress taken out from the hive at the predator campaign etc.) I love that you added so many text and suprisingly you showed us the easter eggs rooms! :) Just a little nitpick unfurtunatelly not every text and mission briefs added but no problem it was a fantastic game movie as always thank you very much! (Praaetorian showcase was good too! ^^ ) And still i love so much that you cutting these stories into chronological cut. Thank you for entertaining us with these game movies you adding so much work in these videos!
Why has no alien game since at least ATTEMPTED facehugger/chestburster gameplay?(Fuck the rpg and mobile games..) It really made you more personally invested in whatever xenomorph's story you were following. Plus it opened up the options in multiplayer to play as the different breeds ala Runner, Predalien, etc
This game, and it's predecessor are honestly a one of a kind game. I could never play it because I was born in 2002, and it never made it's way to Consoles. I hope one day to get a PC and play this game and it's multi. Alien Life Cycle TDM was so fucking amazing. And the single player story still holds up. It's honestly a crime there hasn't been a remake or remaster, or even a rerelease. Only AVP fans can get screwed over this much. Well, except for Star War's Fans. Thx for making this. I was too young to really understand the story, and the captions back in the day were tiny as hell.
Dang this is amazing! It goes to show there's a lot of hidden details and other stuff in this game that you don't even get to see just from playing the game normal.
This game is heaven and glory of eteranl hunt... nothing comes even close to it's epicness. The marine's minigun is one of its kind, the preds' plasma caster is OP as hell, and the recharge mechanic kinda nonsence too, but the campaign kicks ass nevertheless! Even the alien's chapter blows every other game out of the water with the story. This is movie material ready to adapt on the fucking spot
Yeah I kinda agree. The Marine story in AVP 2000 had some xeno jumpscares that while good for the first two hours, it just got a little irritating later on. But it's not as bad as the Doom 3 jumpscares with Imps waiting behind certain doors.
Nicely done with this game movie for avp2. I know that spooky799kil did two game movie videos which were just longplays in chronological order with more detail but no cut or edited content, but this is good to.

What a game. None of the Alien or Predator games were ever as ambitious as this one. It stretches the budget and limitations of the time just about as far as it can. There's no way in Hell this would have ever been the AVP movie though. It's wayyyyy too big in scale. You have Alien ruins, Predator ship, Marine ship, a colnny, the pods, all of the environment. So much... You'd need a collasal budget and there's just no way any studio would greenlight it.
I wish I could play this game again but it doesn't run well at 1440p. You've let me experience it here. Amazing work! You put a lot of effort into this and I can't wait to see your other stuff.

Awesome edit. Never realized just how much the three stories interweaved aside from where they directly cross paths. Also, never realized how much carnage goes down at the Pods while all 3 of them are navigating them but wow! Haha
Excellent video of my favorite installment of the entire Aliens & Predator Universe, the perfectly written story, the great characters, the unmatched uniqueness and atmosphere of LV-1201 with it`s surface, Weyland-Yutani facilities, subterranean Engineer ruins, the Predator base (from Primal Hunt), and wildlife, the attention to detail is second to none in this masterpiece. Could spend literal hours praising this game. Also featured the most badass Yautja warrior of all; Prince Baal Predator. Thank you for this.
