this is amazing! i've loved nikolina ever since i read the trilogy & honestly since i first watched this video, i've been coming back to rewatch it literally everyday LMAO it's just so good! i want to point out some of my favourite moments bc it's clear how much thought you put into this edit, it can't go unappreciated the whole intro since 0:01 until 0:18 when the instrumental plays is a great set up for the mood of the entire video + it perfectly encapsulates why champagne problems is sooo nikolina!! like yes the marriage is supposed to be fake but are the feelings. ARE THE FEELINGS?? 0:18 to 0:28 is amazing too, their lucky compass thing was something straight out of fanfiction like i GASPED when he gave it to her and then she gave it back... great in context of the "dropped your hand while dancing / left you out there standing" line 0:36 "your mom's ring in your pocket" + the scene of the queen and alina looking at each other while clearly not being pleased about the other's presence + alina's voice over JUST WOW 0:39 "my picture in your wallet" with nikolai holding her wanted poster omg!! this is so creative and fits so well and the fact that you kept his voice over "where is she now" makes it even more fantastic likeee man hasn't even met her yet and he's already obsessed 0:44 "champagne problems" and them drinking YESSS! 0:46 to 0:50 shows just how similar their goals are and it's so

Nikolai has better romantic chemistry with both Alina and Mal than Alina and Mal have with each other lol

And one of my favourite scenes, where the demon it getting inside Nikolai and Alina is shouting, trying to rip herself out of Mal's arms and run to save him. Nikolai Is THE MOSTING CHARMING! His every personality- as Pirate ...I mean Privateer! ,as the prince and then the king., just fits him so well. As soon as I watched all the episodes i was waiting for a Alina and Nikolai edit. I am hardcore Darklina shipper but won't mind at all to see Alina and Nikolai together. I have not read the books but I just don't like Mal, his character to me personally is not very intresting.

OK HERE PERSONAL THEORY CUZ IM COPING AND NOT WELL CUZ ZOYALAI ARE MY PARENTS. Mal and Alina as a couple only made sense cuz Mal's purpose was to be an amplifier. Meaning without that part, there's not much to their relationship. Thus why Nikolina is happening rn. But I am hoping that they're only delaying the canon ending to give Alina and Mal's relationship some actual flavor where if the canon ending does happen (in future seasons) it actually makes sense. Remember Mal talking about IF the path he is taking does lead back to Alina, it would be theirs! Not destiny bs but CHOICE (ACTUAL LOVE NOT PURPOSE).
