I had the pleasure to meet William, and very briefly Alina, at EAA Airventure 2024 (Oshkosh), and circulated this video amongst our UK gliding club youngsters as inspiration. Alina’s a solid, respectable pilot in that Aerolite (just watch a few of her Oshkosh landings), consistently neat. We need more youngsters like her, both in aviation and generally building that confidence (and competence), so good on you kiddo. John from the UK.
From a guy who soloed a 152 on his 16th birthday back in the 80's, and went on to fly jets: You've got this. 100%, you've got this. I'm so impressed. You will be a very competent Captain.
Alina, your story is most inspiring to a man (60) who dreamt of flying from since he was as little as the little girl in the video. Eventually it came to the point where all the piles of aviators books and magazines got dumped and the dream died in my late twenties. I am all teary eyed thinking of your beautiful story. Hats of to your dad and mom who believed in you and encouraged you. You live your dream! I wish you many flight blessings, even to the point of making it to a Mach club pilot. May the hand of the Most High always rest on your flights and your landings and may angel's wings always be your extras!
What a great lifetime thrill and achievement! My hat is off to you for doing this and also because you didn’t forget the people behind you who helped make it possible especially your Dad! What a father he is! And Mom for all her support too! The future is yours. Keep learning and stay safe.
This is the most inspiring story I have ever seen in my life! And I am almost 65 years old and have done a lot of things and been a lot of places. I was so taken with this story, I'm actually going to make me a playlist, of the videos I find on Alina. Her dad needs to make a Patreon channel for her. There are many of us pilots that would love to help her and her family in this journey. Alina is a real role model for kids to look up to. I can't wait to share this story with my 14 and 15 year old grandchildren. Thank you for sharing the videos!!! Respectfully, Kirk W. Boland
Thank you for sharing your flying experience with all of us 🙂Flying an ultra light, at 14 years of age, 1,000 miles to Oshkosh and back home shows your discipline, determination and passion. Your family has to be so proud! I shared a video of you flying with one of my daughters. Your an inspiration more than you probably know and I'm blessed to have found your RU-vid Channel. Praying for you from Indiana for continued safe flights
Alina, I am very envious of you. My dad used to take me to Stapleton in denver to watch the 727 commercial flights and took me on a trial flight in a 142. My My love of flying was born and even got as far as ground school but could never afford the air time. Now at 72 my eyes wont let me fly but wish you all the best on yours.
Flying an ultralight at 14 yo is like a dream! I was having fun with ultralights in flight sim, in high school. I was sometimes dreaming of having one for myself one day.
This is like no words. ❤ Even we don’t know each other I am proud of your adventure, flying over 1.000 Miles to OSH in this tiny ultralight. That’s speechless, awesome and terrific. 😊 you will make your way in aviation, that’s for sure. Stay always safe and enjoy your passion of flying. Thanks 🙏 for sharing this great stuff. 🥰
My brother flew triple 7s for United during his career and his wife is an attendant to this day. So I tend to gravitate toward aviation videos. When I stumbled across yours, I was deeply impressed with your accomplishments at such a tender young age. I "flew with you" for several videos, and then the "next" one featured 360 video! Oh wow!! I was hooked. Until you didn't. And now it becomes somewhat tedious to watch so many minutes with a static point of view. So I watch until a few minutes after takeoff, and then lose interest. I hope and encourage your team to provide your fans and enthusiastic supporters with that tremendous technology for ALL your future flights. I'll be there with you!
I can do what I can do. As you might imagine, I didn't have a team of people helping me with Alina. It's just me and her and while the attention she has gotten from these videos is fun, you can understand that it can never take away my focus on her successful and safe flying. Often, setting up the cameras and pushing "go" is about all the spare focus I can muster.
Your Family and Friends must be so very Proud of you Alina ! ! And we are Proud of you also . . Thanks for taking us along on your exciting journey. You're on your way to a great career in aviation. Bob. San Fran.
amazing opportunity Alina, i wish you nothing but the best in your future of flying. here is my story, I was around 8 years old in the early 80s and i flew with my dad alot and practiced through the years as a kid. I did my first solo flight in a j3 cub at 15 in around 1987-88, we had a barn with a private landing strip. When i was 21 i started flying for northwest airlines on the dc-9s as a copilot 1994 of January. I worked my way up to the 747 around 2003 until about 2015, I am now a captain on the a350 aircraft. I share my story with you so you could have alternate options if you change your mind with the air force. I still say go for the air force but also have a fall back plan. Once again good luck on your future and stay safe.
@@williamh.scottv438 absolutely anytime she wants that's fine by me. I have a daughter about 2 years older than her and she is in a flight club right now she wants to be a pilot as well
Listen young lady you are an inspiration to me. Go for the Air Force and I believe you will be flying a fighter jet one day. Great video and God Bless you in your future.
I love the ambition that you possess amd what you already have achieved so far.....May you succeed young lady towards your dreams. Lots of love and good wishes, ❤
Great video Alina! The sky is the limit for a multi talented young lady to pursue her aviation dreams. Thank you for your interview and all the help you gave me. Best Regards, Wayne Whitley
Alina, if that’s your dream then chase it down and make it a reality! Do this with a good well thought out plan and start checking the boxes for that plan. It’s your life and you can do what you want so make it happen.
I commented over on the Air Flo video but glad this came up on my feed. I'm really impressed with this young aviator and look forward to the updates as the years go by. They go by so quickly. Congrats Alina and proud family. Blue skies and tailwinds in your future.
so proud of yo tears here I love it when the young people love aviation like i do. I to have flown ultralights for years and there the truest form of flight its like a butterfly in the wind you really have to know your craft to do this type of flying...... these are the true pilots of our world It doesn't take a piece of paper to prove you know flight and young lady you do for sure.....
I couldn’t afford to do what you did at the age you did it, hats off to your parents and well done for all of what you have done at your young age. My journey was much slower. My two kids were still young when I was able to afford a second hand flex wing and find a very sympathetic instructor. While flying this I built an MW6 two seat microlight off plans. Following a three and a half year build in my garage I was able to converted to three axis flying. It wasn’t until I was in my 50’s that I acquired a second hand Jabiru which allowed me to fly all over the U.K. and Ireland. It also gave me the experience to become a L.A.A. Inspector and help other builders progress. I’ve packed it all in now, a mate of mine told me that when you spend more time ‘fettling’ than actually flying, it’s time. He was right, after 20 years I gave up, all flown out but so happy I did it. Good luck with your future aviation plans, you have what it takes and the youth to do whatever you wish. 👏👌
You can make it to the Academy; study hard, stay fit, and stay focused. I believe in you!!! Keep documenting your extracurricular activities, stay involved in the community, write your senators and representatives. Use your hobby, air shows, etc to meet people. Letters of recommendation from ranking and retired officers can go a long way! Civil Air Patrol is a great resource. I received my nomination through a combination of these things. Go for it!!!
Very impressive and very courageous. I hope you make a career out of your aviation experience. You'll be a role model to other young ladies with thoughts of uncertainty. God bless and stay safe. Blue skies and tail winds.
Thank you for allowing us to participate in your great voyage of discovery. All girls should be like you! Also, your Dad, who is awesome for helping you accomplish all this. You are the best America has to offer.
You are an amazing young woman. I had a younger, female cousin who started out just like you. She stuck with it when everyone was saying she couldn't. She ended flying a Apache in combat in Iraq and retired from the military. Don't let ANYONE tell you that you can't, YOU CAN
We need many more young people to see the military as an opportunity to learn and serve our country. Your videos may inspire many more people to emulate your achievements. I urge you to continue to grow your You Tube channel. Thank you for sharing your story.
Congratulations, Girl, on wonderful achievements. Thank you for acknowledging those who have helped you - we all stand on the shoulders of others. Remember: "The sky's the limit" LOL.
You're so lucky you get to get in the air that early. I'm so jealous. I want to be a pilot someday but I've only ever even controlled a little Cessna once. God I wish I had an aerolite. Anyway, the fact that such a young person can fly basically all by themselves from one side of the US to another is amazing. What a time to be alive.
I've been watching your videos for almost 6 weeks now and I love the voiceover narration! So proud of you! Kudos to your Crew Chief (Dad), Mom and your support network. Aim High, and may God's angels forever be your wingman. ~ USAF Retired 😎👍🏻
Alina, You are truly an amazing girl! Don't ever let anybody tell you you can't do something! With a little boost in life, you will go far! Nothing is easy, but with determination, you will accomplish your goals!
