Total freedom, total dignity, total expression, yet everywhere the most heart-moving restraint, humility, blending, caring for the other... IF we survive as a species, we'll be like these people. Je suis fascinée par ces voix venues d'ailleurs. Ces voix qui se croisent et nous apportent tellement de mélancolie, de douceur et de poésie. C'est aussi toute la tragédie de ce qu'ils vivent en ce moment. Comment peut-on rejeter des hommes et des femmes qui ont tant de beauté à partager ?
Avoir la chance d’écouter cette musique, permet de comprendre que nous sommes passés à coté d'une vérité fondamentale: l'Homme n'est pas ce que nous sommes; cupides et malveillants, mais devrait être cette création de DIEU; qui a été privilégiée à beaucoup d'autres créations, sublime, aspirant au partage inconditionnel du beau, de l'amour.... Oui,assurément nous sommes passé à coté d'une chose merveilleuse qui nous a été offerte mais que nous n'avons pas mérité.DIEU, pardonne nous notre ignorance ou plutôt notre aveuglement.Merci pour ce moment qui a permit à notre âme de voler là où elle aurait dû être à chaque instant.J'ai subitement honte d’être ce que je suis et être incapable d'aller vers ce que j'aurai dû être.

This is a masterpiece in every respect. It is one of my all-time favorite music performances. I have listened to it countless times, and it is never tiring. The music is amazing, the singing from both Alireza and Dorsaf is topnotch, the organizing and the overall performance are great, and the amazing poets of the legendary Khayyam are so uplifting. But the bringing together of Persian and Tunisian (Arab) music groups is the best part! Thanks to everyone who had a hand in putting this wonderful program together, and thanks to Dorsaf for her participation!
