It’s bad enough dealing with an abusive spouse but to have your own child turned on you like that. Scary stuff.

Man I hope that Walgreens employee sees this and realizes that he saved her life!

How appalling to have a manipulator and abuser to cross examine the persons he's accused of manipulating and abusing.

Even though the daughter was manipulated, I don’t think I would’ve easily forgiven or be able to trust her again.

the daughter was old enough to understand what a restraining order is and what a shelter for battered woman is. waiting until mom was asleep, sneaking her dad in through the window, ignoring her mothers pleas? she should be on that stand too. minors have been tried for lesser crimes than her and still been convicted. she definitely aided her father and she knew full well it was wrong.

The best part for me, was when the Detective said "You didn't have surgery...you got stitches" 😂

This woman is so incredibly strong not only for surviving such an attack from her crazy ex-husband but for forgiving her oldest daughter who took part in the situation. I hope nothing but healing for her and her children💕

It never ceases to amaze me, how these controlling, abusive, narcissistic men treat their significant others so horribly, then go crazy when their partners finally try to leave them. And they NEVER change! She is VERY lucky to have survived.

I’m sorry, but him being able to question her himself should’ve never happened. If there’s not a law against that, there should be. She’s a sexual assault victim for God’s sake. That’s absolutely ridiculous.

This poor woman. That a justice system allows the perpetrator to question and torment his victim for four hours in court. Reprehensible.

In my opinion, Arden needs to have her behavior on record because if she is capable of this kind of behavior being manipulated by her dad she needs serious counseling to prevent this kind of behavior in the future.

What tears me apart is the daughter that helped her father break into the house after witnessing the abuse he submitted her mom to. She was so heavily manipulated, and states it so matter-of-factly that she helped her father by leaving a window open, even years later, with no ounce of remorse of what she took part in.

I find myself feeling a bit incredulous as I watch this. That fact that he can explain himself as being vulnerable and taken advantage of while being in a hospital bed that he caused himself to be in, and yet when he broke into his estranged wife's house/bedroom, while she was asleep, tied her up, attempted to smother her, attempted to choke her and yet in his head he truly saw himself as the victim

The oldest daughter doesn't even seem sorry for what she did

The hero of this story is the cigarette break guy! He ought to be in everyone's prayers for doing what so many people wouldn't/don't do! 🙏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻 Thank you Mr Walgreen's Employee & Neighbourhood Hero of the Century! The daughter isn't as gullible as shes trying to portray. She's seen how crazy her Dad is and put her siblings lives at risk by letting him through the window.

This was one of the first trials I watched here on YT. When Alisa got on that stand and Trevor started questioning her I was amazed at her courage and determination to get the truth told. Because of her and her story I began opening up more about mine in my first marriage. I have had the honor of being able to thank Alisa through a message for being a voice for the voiceless. If you are in an abusive relationship physical or emotional please open up to someone trustworthy and get help. I wish I would have done that and gotten out sooner. But I’m in a better place now just dealing with the baggage. Thank you Alisa for telling your story. I’m so happy for you and the family.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

The daughter seems proud of her actions against her mom, like the writing on the wall that was “her idea”

I was in shock, as I watched this trial. He played so many games with the court. But the worst was when he decided to represent himself. Just so he could cross examine his own victim.😢 Alisa was amazing, absolutely amazing, on the stand. He never shook her. I hope they all live their best lives from here on.... except Trevor, of course.😊

The daughter is now 20 but while she’s talking about what happen, it seems as she’s proud of what her and her dad did.

We need new laws that have a stand in attorney question victims when the accused represents themselves.

I'd never let that daughter near me and her siblings or in my house ever again with protection. That girl has seen first hand the evil her father was doing to her mom and still let the man in. I'd have to get a restraining order the more I'm thinking about this.

Something isnt right about the oldest daughter. She seems almost proud of what she did.

A 14 year old seeing your mother hurt, tied up and kidnapped... writing insults on the wall, calling her trash and trashing her bed... sounds like a chip off the shoulder of the narcissistic father... I think the only reason she isn't with her father is that he is locked up in prison otherwise that's whose side she would be by. Unacceptable behaviour whatever way you try and swing it. She wrote 'traitor' on the wall yet she is the one her betrayed her own mother who gave birth to her. Its outrageous! This would never have happened if it weren't for her actions... I would never trust her again.

How the US laws allow an accused to represent themsleves AND question their alleged victims is beyond a joke.

The story the daughter told is bizzare.... she was "helping" by letting the father SNEAK IN?!?! If he was there to "fix" anything why would he need to sneak in?? At this point he had already attacked her once and there were restraining orders. Surely she knew this. WTF was she doing? Not only that, but she happily admits to vandalizing the mothers home previously!! Very bad, she should have been held accountable.

The unbelievable GALL of him saying "I was captive" and that he was vulnerable and "possibly coerced" by the police. I'm screaming in rage!

The whole family seems weird, but that daughter, I would always feel resentment towards her.

Although arden was manipulated, but she certainly did not show any remorse or emotion while speaking about the terrible ordeal she put her mither through. It will be difficult for any mother to reconcile with such a daughter.

This mother is such a strong woman. Not only was she betrayed by a pos, but her daughter as well. It seems as though the daughter wants to make it seem like her dad told her to do these things. While I will say her dad manipulated her, I feel like some of the things she did she wanted to do (ex. writing on her mother's walls). Glad she survived and is happily married now, but if I was her, I'd be careful around the daughter.

When he said he was 'captive and coerced while being spoken to by the police in hospital ' I nearly choked lol that's exactly what he did to his Mrs - what a hypocrite 🙄

Wow the daughters betrayal was pretty deep. If I were her mother with time I would have forgiven but never forgotten.

That dude firing his lawyer, so he could cross examine the ex wife, to further torment her..... That should not be allowed.

I remember watching their court case, its sickening watching him try to intimidate & coerce her one last time in full view of everyone! I am so glad she survived this. I hope her daughter is getting mental help to counter the psychological manipulation she's put through.

I’m sorry but I can’t get over how the daughter comes across as not having any remorse. This poor lady gave birth to another narcissist, just like her father.

Hes so gross. Uck. And the oldest daughter is off. I don't know how I would feel about her after such betrayal. She seems to have more of dad than mom in her.

I feel so sorry for this mom! I lived my own nightmare with an abuser and he turned my only daughter against me. He died of a drug overdose. She is now 32 and hates me because of things he lied to her about. I finally had to just cut her out of my life for my own sanity. I feel like this type of parental abuse should be a crime of coercion and mental abuse.

She is incredibly courageous and her kids as well. May God heal them

I relate to what this woman endured in many ways. Mine also represented himself and i was so scared all I could hear was my heart beating and his voice was just an echo booming loudly and walked right up to the stand and got in my face several times. The need for control. Unfortunately my story isn't over and mine did not go to jail for what he did so he went on to repeat it elsewhere. This woman is very lucky and an inspiration. I hope to tell her one day.

Her parents split. Her mother moved out. THAT daughter knew damn well that it isn't normal for her to open a window and let someone crawl in, especially her own father.

He confesses in writing, on a recording and to the police. What else would you need? The daughter is also guilty. Unforgivable.

The saddest thing about this is, that the daughter who helped her father abuse/abduct her mother, is now a predator herself. She lacks empathy. She smirks throughout the whole interview, laughs at times or is overly nonchalant about this tragic story. She is uncurable and will abuse all her boyfriends, later her kids. She is ok with violence. She means danger to anybody, who will come close to her. She will probably end up in prison too, for violence... She already acts like a predator. Her body languages scream - I am superior to you, interviewer, and I love the attention. I am self-important and proud of my part in the story! It is sad that the family dynamic created her. She was a golden child for the manipulative father, cause she was obedient to him, easily manipulated, and now there is no going back. Once a human looses empathy, it is gone. For good. That is how human brain works. Look at her poor mom. Her saying, when she realized that her daughter will no save her. She is traumatized, and you can see it in her face, showing a lot of emotions, when recollecting about, what happened. The daughter keeps her smirk / superiority grimace all the time. She is sad only, when it is about how this whole thing affected her. This mom should go low or no contact with the daughter, she is not safe around her. Her daughter has always resented her. She even said that she could not look even at her mother, she sprayed her walls with horrible texts, calling her names and she played an important role in father’s attack at her mother. Only a cold-hearted person can do that. Her mom would be dead now, if it was not for A STRANGER, who called the police and her brave mom, who fought for her life.

The signs of a narcissist should be taught to young people.

I just got to the part of the video where arden vandalised her moms house with her father....my god 😮. Even now she appears to have no remorse. She is her fathers daughter and lacks empathy.

Arden should never have got so involved with her parents' disputes - terrible, she knew he was abusive. Yes she was manipulated and lied to but her lack of respect for her mother is very evident.

How in gods name is it OK for these courts to allow this man to abuse his ex-wife over and over again. What an injustice. Unbelievable.!! This makes me so angry.

I was fortunate enough to message with Alissa and wow - an incredible woman! Im so happy she found the strength to get through this and come out stronger.

How is this a life sentence when some actual murderers get less sentence? The US justice system is truly broken.

It's strange, I just finished watching the Karrie Neurateur episode released about 6 months ago. They are chillingly similar except the outcome of that story was not a happy ending. I understand being manipulated by your father and believing that he just wants to talk to your mom, but once you hear her screaming for help and see her being tied to bed, that's when I have issues.

"I was captive and possibly coerced" says the narcissist who held his wife captive and coerced her. Narcs always accuse their victims of doing what the narc did. If you want to know what a narcissist is doing to someone, just listen to what they accuse their victim of.

I believe it would be a wise move to not jump into another relationship before fully healing herself and her family after this. Dealing with the deception from her own daughter. Also don’t think this new husband know what type of situation he’s getting into. She was abused with the help of her own daughter. Plus having 4 other kids who needs a healthy mom

I've been in a situation like that before. My ex boyfriend help me hostage for one day. Took my phone and car. I just stayed locker in my apartment bayhtoom.he eventually gave Me my phone back and then hours later into the next day... I heard him leave my keys on the counter and heard him leave. Just the worst feeling ever. That was almost 10 years ago and I haven't dated since then
