Elvis was Elvis in '56, but his version can't hold a candle to this one. Different times/different arrangements/different talent. What no one mentions is this was part of a tribute album to the Louin Brothers, who, along with dozens, also recorded this song. All the compliments herein are dead on.
Dirk, so true...though this reminded me of some old (1972) Gram Parsons/Emmylou Harris duets, from the album, "Return of the Grievous Angel" - if you haven't heard that, I'm quite sure you will love it.

This is one of the best country duets ever, hands down. Two pros perfectly complementing each other. Art you can listen to. I didn't know that Elvis recorded it (1956) Apparently it was written by Chet Atkins and the amazing Bordleaux Bryant.
In 24 days it will be 2 years. I miss the man he showed me for 4 year's or I thought it was. I wish him all the best. Our memories will always be special so will the songs we shared. I don't really believe he's forgotten me.

Almost 2 years later now. 21 months now. September 29 will be 24 month's of being strangers with someone I used to have conversation with and share hugs and I love you with. I thought that we were friends. I can honestly say I never hurt him. I never would have. I still have compassion. I still pray for him..I can sleep at night knowing this..I could get a apology from him then I could move on. I just miss him. He was my music buddy.
