Musicalement vocalement exceptionnel 🥰🥰
Before Adele there was the 80s phenomenon, Alison Moyet, she still sounds absolutely unique, powerful and gutsy. Her legendary songs are memorable, I can’t believe how gorgeous she looks and sounds in older age, and now a mature University graduate. A great example of what can be achieved through hard work, determination and perseverance to overcome her crippling personal anxiety issues over the years ❤ 🙏🏽
Without Alison Moyet and Annie Lennox there would be no Adele. Arguably, the best soulful singer of the 80s. Then came Sade, Amy Winehouse and Adele. Wow! Thanks to Dusty Springfield for starting the legacy of great UK singers.
This is an example of why recording a live performance on a cheap device is really criminal for the artist. The sound is distorted and gives the impression the artist is not a good live performer. However I know Allison is brilliant.
You are right! It is a sin not to have better audio and video quality! With no objection to those who resumed the show. Alison moves really and damn well on stage !! Really: I like it too much! Thank those who posted the video!
On the contrary… Despite the “poor” audio/visual quality, I found this utterly compelling. As somebody who was a child when Alison was in her heyday, but who remembers her iconic voice, this was simply inspirational. This is a 61 year old human being, who is putting younger performers to shame. I’m so glad I stumbled across this tonight.
I think you are up yourself by pontificating the nonsense you've declared! There is nothing criminal for recording in a venue that there is no official video being filmed. In fact, it is doing a favour for the artist and the fans, as is the case here. Any sensible person will realise that the sound distortion is the result of over driving the levels. But anyone who has been to rock concert will testify to the overdriven speakers that make you deaf for several hours after leaving the concert! As to picture quality, well its quite OK, despite lacking multi camera angles! It actually is better than nothing! Had this not been filmed we would have not seen and enjoyed it!
@@Bullcutter well mister think about this. Recording an artist on your phone for yourself is fine. However putting on RU-vid and the public domain has an impact on the artists brand. If the public hear a substandard recording it can have a negative impact on that artist’s future earnings. Perhaps you might want to think a little further than just the obvious. Btw I’m not at all up myself. I just think beyond the front page.
@Phil You have not responded to my points. Instead, you have repeated your unsubstantiated statement again! For the last time: putting a personal recording of an artist on RU-vid, does not have an impact on the artist brand! Especially in the case of less popular artists, it is beneficial to them, as it provides extra publicity for them! This can be seen here by the multitude of comments, where people are very pleased to see this clip! In the case of mega artists, they don't want unauthorised recordings because their concert is being filmed, and their management want the fans to buy the recordings so they ban people filming, which can be very difficult to control with mobile phones. They certainly search people for cameras being brought in bags! In conclusion, inferior personal recordings of concerts do not affect the sales of professional recordings, or artist's reputation, because people have brains and realise that it was recorded on a mobile phone! I actually work in a closely allied field, and what I write comes from talking to music producers, not some personal notion of eccentricity that seems to drive your obsession with your stated belief!
My Goodness,She hasn't changed a bit personality wise or That Smile with That Voice!! Obviously her appearence is a whole lot different which, personally, I like, heaps ... Go Ally ... I wish All My Old Pin Ups every success if they're choosing to keep going.. I looked at just who was touring at the minute n thiers a whole host of great acts from yesteryear n it's This New Generation that are responsible for it all .... They love the 80 s n 90 s..
Top of my list of favourite women. 'Midnight' by Yazoo blew my mind, I'm literally in heaven when I hear it what a great jazz voice. Some of my other favourite mature women are Carrie Fisher, Sigourney Weaver and Grace Jones. I like strong women.
As others have said, this is recoded on a phone or camera, so the sound is poor. I saw Alison live in Auckland 2017 I think, Diwali Festival too. She was fantastic 😊
One of my biggest regrets - Had free ticket to see Yazoo at the Dominion , London , but couldn't afford to get there AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !! But have copy of gig I missed on cassette - almost makes it worse !
@banyera I feel so sorry that you couldn't afford to see Yazoo! Couldn't afford the fare! When they first started, I wanted to see The Rolling Stones, in my hometown, Wallington, south London. BUT QASN'T FEELING WELL. But I thought "don't worry - THEY'RE good! They'll be back! And they never were - they immediately hit the big time, and played bigger venyes! (I DID see them elsewhere later!)
