2012 team had very strong gymnasts and Komova had the highest Russian score in three events during team finals.

Vitor Hugo Santana unfortunately Komova blew it when it really mattered. Such a shame because she was simply wonderful.

Vitor Hugo Santana Mustafina was the only mentally tough one and always had to comfort her team when they messed up. Mustafina always gave it her all and from watching the Russians at Championships without her, you can see she truly is the spirit of the Russian team.

En el 2012 tuvo la ayuda de grandes gymnastas Komova fue piedra angular de ese equipo el elemento más joven novel y quizá débil mentalmente fue Anastasia Grishina

One of those rare routines who have the perfect combination of artistry and difficulty. Her form might not be the best, but it is still better than gymnasts nowadays who are too focused on acrobatics.

MultiChantal22 I think her twisting form is worse than most current gymnasts- every gymnast has strengths and weaknesses. Fortunately that doesn’t take away her musicality, the control on her landings or that sky-high double Arabian.

I respect your opinion and I think she’s a great gymnast but I don’t agree with still better gymnast. There are gymnast with clearer and more difficult skills that are great gymnast. Gymnastics without crazy difficult acrobatics is just dance .

@Random Stuff I Like. Your point? Never said gymnasts should not do acrobatics. There's a difference at balancing between artisty and acrobatics, and not doing acrobatics.

@@Sco2b Of course, there are tons of women (back then and nowadays) who are better than her in acrobatic skills. I was saying she is better as in able to balance artistry and acrobatics without one overpowering the other.

@@roamingramon6517what I mean with queen is that they are the leader of their own teams and that they are of the big four WAG countries and arguably the best of that time period. Yes, to add to what you said, every finalist in this event is either world or olympic champion, even the ninth placer tweddle is also a world champion.

Although i love Vika in every aspect of her gymnastics (her elegance, her natural beauty of acrobatic elements, her talent, her form in general), a lot of time she failed to deliver in the most important events...unlike Aliya who performed a lot of really good routines under the pressure of the Olympic Games etc. And don't get me wrong, i would pick Komova in a lot of different ways over Mustafina (but i respect them both so much).

I want to know why the Russians can create a leotard that doesn't ride up your behind and the US can't or won't. I would go crazy in a US leotard as they look really uncomfortable.
