i want to hear her voicce. I'm glad the british lady eventually let us hear alizee's voice and translated after she was done speaking. her voice is very nice.
Ok here's the answer: She was almost 17 here. Nowadays she's 25, married and mum of a 4-year-old little girl. Nobody pays attention to her in France anymore. She's doing really well in Mexico and Russia. She has 3 albums: -Gourmandises (2000) - Mes courantes electriques (2002) -Psichedelices (2005) - And 4 upcoming album (2009)
"It's about a young girl who older men find attractive", yepp, that pretty much sums it up and she is the perfect girl to sing it and inhabit the character ;-)
@@MannyN420 as it should, her music is amazing and she's beautiful as well but the videos were so pedo friendly & the concept was created by her label too
Shocking how many female pop stars were thrown under this image, Britney, Vanessa Paradis, Alizée etc. And no one even questioned it?? Lol perhaps the same is happening with these tiktok stars today. Many of them were underage with dozen fans and were sexualized, when they started.
It's always funny when anglo people are calling another nation arrogant for not speaking English.... lack of self-awareness. If you expect everyone in the world to be fluent in YOUR first language regardless of the country and age, it's maybe you the arrogant people. At the time of this interview Alizée was still a high schooler. Do you really expect every teenager to be able to entertain fluently a conversation in her second or third language as if it were nothing ? Some teenagers can, but to assume everyone does is being delusional.
English is the main business language of the world. Before that it was Roman. Therefore if you can't speak it, you will not go far in the world. In most cases.
@@lonewolfy5621 This is misleading statement. Whichever country you do biz with, they will converse with you using their language, and u can get a translator if u dont understand them. Go travel the world c urself
@@lonewolfy5621 bullshit. Literally only true if you're into international finance or some crap, a random french wine farmer or shop assistant or say, teenager, doesn't need to speak english for any reason.
It's not the case. That's because French people's personal millenia-long feud with Englishmen and the fact they still cannot accept that their language is not the world's most popular anymore and English has totally stole the spotlight instead. I heard people from France speak English when they REALLY needed.
Impossible not to miss her gorgeous MCE & G era =) I mean, that era was fabulous. Nothing present compares to what a child-looking Lolita made people feel while, for instance, singing "Parler tout bas" completely barefooted. =)
Alisay? Well, I shouldn't blame her, i'm English as well, and it's almost impossible to say Alizée without saying it in the correct French accent of pronunciation. Thank you for the interview, always did treasured her old days. =)
Kim Minju is 23 years old, kinda old to be a Lolita. Alizée was only 16, she had perfect age to represent the song of Lolita. Great musician and singer since really young age.
I'm a UK Citizen, this video is one of the many videos that make me wish that I was French instead. ;) Considering I think my own language is a bit of a bore, I mean worldwide languages are spoken by everyone, French may not be so in-front as English, but it is still pretty big, and I adore it a lot more than my Pompey English. =P The other videos are of course, Alizée's other interviews and performances (FUN TV 2003 Most of all).
Alizée's pronunciation of her own favorite idol's name is just as funny. She calls Madonna "MA-du-NAH". In Italian, Madonna mean "my woman", woman being Donna.
..in fact, the first name "Alizée" (or Alizéa) is french and comes from the french word alizé, wich means "trade winds". And Alizée (the singer) comes from Corsica (a part of France, at least until now ^^). Her last name is (or rather was...) Jacotey (a French familly name, although not very common). I hope this can put an end to this highly controversial subject... ^^
because she just sing the song (they teach her how to sing this in english and how to sing this fluently, shes got everything on paper and she tries to remember all words in english and then finally she sings)
