The most desolate and beautiful of all Alkan’s Barcarolles? And I LOVE the tone of the right hand solo melodies on this piano! Yet again, brilliant.

I'm glad you chose one of Alkan's Barcarolles that wasn't the famous one! Although I like it, the other Barcarolles from his sets of Chants are just as worthwhile musically. I'm especially fond of the Barcarolle from the Deuxième Suite, Op.38/2 🙂

Très intéressant, il est a noter que les poèmes lenka au Japon par exemple étaient tous chantés. Je suis d'accord avec vous sur l'état d'esprit chantant.

Auf alten Klavieren zu spielen heißt, sich in sie hineinzuhören. Der Interpret ist aufgefordert sich an die Klangmöglichkeiten heranzutasten, die Grenzen zu erkennen und sie zu meiden. Sie treten viel früher zu Tage, als auf den modernen Konzertpanzern. Vom Publikum wird verlangt, dass es sich von alten Hörgewohnheiten verabschiedet, sich auf das Lauschen konzentriert. Aber: Diese alte Flügeldame möchte bitte unterhalb der Schäppergrenze bleiben. (ꏿ﹏ꏿ;)

Dommage que l’enregistrement audio et visuel n’est pas au point!! Difficile à écouter et à regarder. Le chevelure blond est très net....
