Chilling chambers is my favorite. All the sections they placed within, like Doll Factory or Uncle Bozo fills me with great knowledge. Also bringing in the scores is a great touch
that first one was soooo awesome! Thank you for the upload ((: edit- loved the wax one too, surprisingly cool! I really liked the 'masterpiece' human centipede animatronic edit 2- the snake lady animatronic in Mesmer was so awesome, I loved the glowing eyes and jittery neck movements (((: actually that entire maze was dope
Love that the titles for the Cinema Slasher movies were previous mazes or themed rides from earlier Halloween Haunts. Camp Gonnagetcha was a theme from the Log Ride.
I don't know why but I LOVE the MESMER maze; I mean it could be because I'm one of those weirdos that have a Hypno-fetish, but that would be a great horror film
Cinema slasher is what would have happened if Halloween Horror Nights' Slaughter Sinema had been given a larger budget, changing from a drive-in to a cinema itself.
OK but the fact that they weren’t actually selling the movie theater candy was a missed opportunity. Should’ve been selling it to people while they were in line outside anyway. 😂😂😂
Cinema slayer: 6/10 • Opening is really good • Music is good • Scenes are less detailed compared to other mazes and a little open (That's probably just due to the theme) • Actors are ok 4:47 • Ending is ok Room 13: 5/10 • Open is kinda weak • Music is ehh • Scenes are ok just a little barren sometimes • Actors are meh • Ending is meh Chilling chambers: 8/10 • Good opening • Music is good 15:18 ( They had no right to go that hard 💯) • Scenes are really good with large structures and use of lights • Actors are good • Ending was good ⭐️ 16:44 Wow, that's cool Wax Works: 7/10 • Opening is good • Music is good • Scenes are well detailed (There are so many body parts everywhere) • Actors are good 22:25 • Ending is alright kinda empty Bloodlines 1842: 5/10 • Opening is meh • Music is good • Scenes are alright • Actors are meh, most of them are just regular the people with a gun • Ending is meh The Depths: 7/10 • Opening is ok • Sound is good • Scenes are good, big structures and good amount of detail • Actors are ok • Ending is ok The Grimoire: 6/10 • Opening is alright • Sound is ok • Scenes are ok • Actors are good 39:23 and 39:44 • Ending is ok Mesmer: 9/10 • Opening is amazing • Sound is amazing, the constant background hypnotism really pushes it further • Scenes are well detailed, lighting is good too, illusion scenes are cool • Actors are good 46:28 • Ending is good ⭐️ 44:17 that's cool Dark entities: 5/10 • Opening is ehh, no actor's • Sound is ok • Scenes are okay • Actors are okay, doesn't seem like there's alot of them in this one • Ending is meh Origins: The curse of Calico: 7/10 • Good opening • There's no audio? So idk • Scenes are good, well detailed • Actors are good • Ending is ok
I hate theu change bloodline smh. But at least the change black guy is still there. Remember brothers and sisters if it came from the dark aim for the heart. ❤
Unscary and a genuine waste of cool concepts BUT I appreciate Attractions 360 showing an honest POV of the conga lines you'll be wedged into as a customer. (0:55 on in "Slasher." This is media day. It's much more crowded in reality.) Knott's, nor HHN space out the groups. You see every scare coming. Some actor-driven scares aren't even performed cuz they require resets (Mesmer). You're only hope (if u must go) is getting in at rope drop on a week night, and hitting a select house or two. Otherwise, just burn your money.
You do the mazes late, people have gone through them by then. But that was how I used to do it. Scary? Most are good with cool and good concept/atmosphere and story.
Bro, it's hard for the talent to really scare effectively and safely when it's crowded T_T (I'm not hating btw, I'm kinda agreeing with you) Lines do need to be monitored better. My best friend was in Dark Entities, she's in this video actually, and by the second week all the way to end of the season, she'd basically act like she was in a scare zone, but told me it was SUPER tricky to effectively do that safely for her and the guests with the conga lines so yeah, I totally get what you mean when it comes to that
Firstly, great handle@@RockemSockemRichie ! This comment is more interesting than all of SoCal halloween. Props to your bestie for trying to improve Haunt! I think it's beyond saving. (what time does she appear in DE?) As an actor, former scare actor and director I really appreciate that. I feel bad for all the actors here and at HHN and how mgmt kneecaps their ability to perform. Mgmt has no desire to change. When you ask them to break up the groups, or suggest changes to layout, actor positioning, etc, they ask "what are your credentials?" They're happily insulated in their bubble. Does cast get push back when they suggest changes?
@@RockemSockemRichie ...and HHN especially does not welcome criticism. I made a short horror-comedy sketch series based on their lame houses & they banned me from posting reels on instagram! 🤣The preview is still on my YT channel. The rest of the series had to be recut to get around bans (& adhere to Shorts time limit). it'll reappear on YT shortly.
Half the park wears masks, bro. HHN uses masks too, but okay. I mean, if you think you can do horror make up for over 15,000 people in less than an hour, go off I guess...
Lmao? Didn't know that Vecna in the Stranger Things maze wasn't a scare actor wearing a mask.... Didn't know that Regan wasn't a scare actor in a mask... Didn't know that Jack Torrance in The Shining maze from previous years wasn't a scare actor in a mask....huh.... It's almost like Haunts... use masks in addition to make up. Wow! Shocker!
went on friday with my bf :) swear the line to park takes longer then to actually get into a maze 🧍♀️ the lines went by so quick for both mazes and rides
Because Universal employs the same formula every maze: pop out, strobe lights, pop back in. And the actors interact with you less inside and outside the mazes. Universal has nearly nonexistent scare zones. They have gotten complacent and greedy over the years by overselling their tickets to the point where mazes are 2-4 hours wait time for general admission, so that compromises the maze traffic and how you experience the maze itself.
Because Knotts is the original haunt event and has the far stronger and more original creative teams than HHN who tend to be very derivative of the Orlando counterpart, repetitive, and cheaper both budgetarily and creatively. Although HHN in Hollywood usually has a banger or two every year like La Llorona last year or Chucky this year
Guys, remember, it depends on what time you go in the mazes! This is still people's jobs, they have different start times and have to take a moment to put their feelers out and get into the swing of things because it's different every night. Take Dark Entities as an example, it was emptier when I went for pre-scare and by the end of the night all three of the times I went this year, it was the most well staffed and honestly the best maze. (And here y'all come in the comments saying the maze was trash, but it really wasn't. In fact, this was the best season since 2018 and I've been going for years.)
Great work on the sets, lighting and props. But the actors and employees need to key it up. Also, face paint works better than masks. More intricate and effects-laden than the haunted houses I remember going to as a teen...but less scary.
I just love the videos your channel puts out during haunt season. Thank you for showcasing all of the haunt mazes in such amazing depth. Knotts Scary Farm imo is one of the best haunts to walk through, with the spooky props, the sets and most importantly the incredibly talented scare actors/actresses. They deserve so much thanks for creating the best scares we love to enjoy during haunt season. Thank you to you all. You guys are the best!
These mazes are a far cry from the houses in Hershey park! I mean 100% different… BETTER 🏆 The actors were very energetic and in to their characters! That adds SO much to the experience 🎃 Thank you for posting this and for making it one long video instead of a few videos of each 👏🏼🥇 Shame abt the last maze, the curse of calico 😞 *Silence*
I remember I went in 2021, and the actors there were absolutely stellar. They knew how to play off of different guests, either without breaking character or breaking it exclusively to take you off guard for what they do next. During Wax Works, I saw someone looming over me with a hacksaw around a blind corner and I just reflexively say "Hello" I get a "Hi" back in a completely normal voice, and the moment my eyes are off them I hear an enormous boot stomp behind me and the fear of god is reinstilled.
I went there today and my favorites were Club 13 & Wax Works! The scare zones were really good, especially The Guantlet. I kept laughing at my friends being scared by the scareactors.
Nice haunts, but I feel I'd get really irritated with how many scare actors just cut in front of you and block your progress through the house. Half the time they don't even do it to scare you, it just feels like they're trying to get to their mark and don't care if they're in your way. It feels really sloppy and unprofessional.
My melting, partially narcoleptic, cryogenic self had just woken up in this one! xD It's hard to catch Vashta in full mutation action in the dark! Thanks for showcasing Dark Entities and getting both the Cryogenic Crew together!
