Nebraska coach blamed Aja O’Neal being able to train with the USA national team last summer. Sir, you should of trained your players for Olympic level serves 😂.

What? Isn’t one of his assistants, Jordan Larson who played on the National team as recently as last year?

At the beginning of the match, the commentator said that Nebraska was never bothered…Clearly, by the end of the match, they were looking bothered..😂😂 Hook em!!

Especially since all that is shown in this clip are the aces. What is not shown were the many times the tough Texas serve kept Nebraska out of system which led to overpasses for an easy Texas kill or blocks by Texas. There is another clip showing the 11-0 run by Texas in the second set. Nebraska setter Reilly was doing everything she could from back row sets to setter dumps and none of it worked. Sometimes she did not have another choice than outside left where Texas was waiting.

When I read ESPNw’s article on Asjia O’Neal the other day I knew it was another destiny season for us! Can you say ALL GAS NO BRAKES 🤘🏾🔥

Harper Murray and Ali Batenhorst got absolutely demolished on serve receive. 10 or 11 of those aces were off of them. Great strategy and execution to focus on them.

One from Beason, one from Rodriguez, one from Choboy.

Have to give TX's serve the credit here. Completely took NE out of its game.

How many of those serves were flat, deep float serves? Several. You don't need to go Power all the time.

Did they ever try to use upper hands to pass?

Anyone only count 11 aces in this compilation? They missed Madi Skinner's first ace at 16-14 in the first set

I was wondering when they were getting consecutive aces, why can't Lexi the libero step in and take it? Obviously, they were avoiding her but she can take it.
@lukasky03

She can't take them all. Even when they served her she flubbed one.

I agree. Texas serves were just too good today. Nebraska OHs didn’t show up and Lexi can’t do it all.

It was mostly because those four aces did not go to the same player every time. First ace was off Beason on the right. Nebraska changes their receive formation to 3 players instead of 4. Then it went straight to Harper Murray in the center. Then Batenhorst on the left. Then back to Murray.

Also, I read that they were serving in a straight line to reduce the time for Lexi to step in

Nebraska focused on all other things except Serve/Receive this season.

I am sure they worked on that. It is more like they had not faced a team that could serve like Texas who was in the zone. Stanford and Wisconsin both experienced the brutal Texas serve. They handled it a bit better but still could not handle it at times.
