I always say the obstacles on Total Wipeout are way too easy, but one cool thing in this case is we can see which entry points/shapes were used more to clear. So here we are: 8 pendulum 1 zipline 4 diving board 1 slide 4 trampoline 6 square 8 circle 4 triangle I don't know which ones appeared once and which appeared twice (or if any of them appeared three times), but this gives an interesting look at which is the easiest. The American version only showed three clears of the Shapeshifter, using the trampoline, pendulum and diving board, so this seems to be consistent.
Hey! Just a quick question, this may not be related to any part of this video whatsoever but its just a thing of curiosity. What is your favorite soundtrack that has ever played on total wipeout? Personally I have a lot of favorites. Uprising By Muse (The one which played during Slam Dunk James' champion of champions qualifer run) is really good, I liked how they used Britney Spear's "One More Time" during Sarah Cawood's run during series 3 episode 12 too. But I think that my favorite Soundtrack has to go to the soundtrack that played during On and On Donovan's interview in series 2 episode 8. It's probably because i really love Gorillaz and its music. The soundtrack was a part of one of their first songs named "Clint Eastwood" which was released during the early 2000s.
Great question, I have many favorites but the biggest ones are Great Scott’s theme (also used at various other points like Divine Dave crossing the Lunar Landing, Dalton Towers finishing the Wipeout Zone, etc), Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence which was used during the announcement after the first round of Dizzy Dummies in Series 2 Episode 9, Crouching Tiger Hidden Adam’s theme in S02 E09, Catvina which was in On And On Donovan’s 4:01 run, and the song used in the Series 2 champions special preview in Episode 7. I see now that I picked a bunch from that one episode but I guess it’s because that is my favorite episode ever
I've always thought that the Shapeshifter would be one of the obstacles I would be most nervous about facing on Total Wipeout, even moreso than the Big Red Balls because at least those are stationary, I feel like I would end up smashing my face into the hard padding. Very good idea for a video! This is crossings by variant of the Shapeshifter btw: Swinging Block: 8 crossings Diving Board: 4 crossings Trampoline: 4 crossings Zipline: 1 crossing Slide: 1 crossing So it seems like the Swinging Block is probably the easiest to beat.
Funny how the diving board has into half as many crossings as the swinging block, it seems like the diving board is easier. I think the Zipline is definitely the hardest, it has the lowest clear rate and it’s crazy that even one out of 40 people crossed it
@@totalwipeoutspotlight2939 It's probably because the Swinging Block was in both of the celebrity specials so it appeared in four episodes while the Diving Board only appeared in two episodes. Additionally no one cleared the Swinging Block variant in Series 5 Episode 1 while two people cleared the Diving Board in both Episode 3 and 8. The only reason the Swinging Block has as many crossings as it does is the fact a lot of people were really nailing it in Episode 7. The trampoline variant has always confused me. It gets three clears in Episode 6 but just one by a person who had never attempted it and a near miss from someone else who hadn't in Episode 9. Meanwhile Bunny Boy Daniel who had the advantage of attempting it before and Leo The Leader who had completed it before couldn't do it.
We actually do not know if Bunny Boy Daniel cleared it, the end of his run wasn’t shown. I’d say it’s safe to say he didn’t, since they probably would’ve shown it, but it’s possible
