this was Kane's 2nd-best 5v5 goal scoring season by goals per 60. also his most career OT winners in a season, and 2nd best game winning goal year of his career. and also a really high rate of cool highlighty type goals either due to the play itself or the situation. esp after the first 6. starting w that breakaway reverse Forsberg beauty vs LA, the goals got very cool this year.
it got him to the 20 goal mark for the 16th time in 17 years, and Lalonde immediately buried him w Perron and Compher the rest of the way and he never scored again. i bet he liked that goal more than you think.
