Bought the first XSE that my local dealer got in stock 2 weeks ago in the magnetic grey metallic. Amazing the advances in this new Rav vs. the 2016 SE I traded in! The gloss black trim looks amazing against the magnetic grey metallic paint! The power of the 2.5 liter motor with the 2 electric motors is a big improvement. I was skeptical of the claimed 58% improvement in structural rigidity....after 500 miles I am a believer, handles so much better than my 16'! I have been fortunate to have owned some really nice cars in my life but non of them compare to this 19' Hybrid XSE!

Great video... Love the jokes and you get an A for being the only reviewer I've seen to actually show how the panoramic roof works. So tired of seeing other reviewers some 5 minutes talking about the ac knobs and no time on other features.

Actually I prefer the limited because of several extra that not available at the xse trim! But the XSE just beautiful. This Hybrid Rav4 it is a very clever, reliable and high-tech, also outstanding looking car with the market-leader hybrid technology. So my choice is Limited! Jeff, You do excellent videos, on this one I would have suggested that you explain the packages that are available for each trim and what they add. I selected a Limited with the Entune upgrade, Adv Tech Pkg, and the weather package. It got off the ship 10 days ago but hasn’t made it to the dealer yet. Viewing your videos keeps my mouth watering.

@@victoria4659 I got it at South Hills Toyota. Mike Vargo was the sales man. Love him. They had 3 allocated on first shipment. They were able to trade one before they got delivered so that I could get the color and model I wanted. Good luck

Greetings from Portland, OR. I finally got my RAV4. It's a Limited Hybrid with the Entune, Technology and Weather Packages in Blueprint Blue. Just regular city and freeway driving the last two days and I'm at 37 mpg and climbing. I am really loving how quiet the car is and the extra hp provided by the Hybrid is nice. Still learning all the new technology. For instance, the small digital speedometer is shown in km instead of miles. Nevertheless, I have a huge smile on my face whenever I get behind the steering wheel. Love my RAV4

I finally got my 2020 XSE Hybrid on Tuesday, had to wait 8 weeks, this is my first Toyota, let go of my 2011 Ford Escape limited, I chose it for the look and hybrid in that order. I've watched a bunch of videos on it and yours are the best, thanks.

Great vehicle. I bought a new 18 RAV4 hybrid and absolutely love it. The 19 is much improved but the 18 is great too. I hear that the 19 hybrid is a very hard vehicle to find however where I live in Central Georgia the folks don't seem to be as enthusiastic about hybrid (any make) vehicles. I think it is because gas prices are very reasonable and they get attention when gas starts to really spike in price. For example, I went in for service last week and got my coffee and wanted to see a 19 RAV4 close up and he had about 30 on the lot and there were two hybrids sitting in the middle of the pack. You just don't see hybrid vehicles all that much in my area. Funny story when I bought mine he had 50 RAV4s on the lot and I was riding on the golf cart tour and said stop when I spotted his only hybrid. The salesman didn't even know it was out there. But the 19 looks fantastic and would recommend a RAV4 hybrid to anyone in the market for this size vehicle. The 18 is smooth and quiet and the 19 is even better.

I think the XSE is the best because of the multiple limited features and a reasonable price. Also, it is the only trim that has the option of a blacked out roof.

By far the best Rav4 review on youtube , very innovative the way you did it, covered the whole range in one video. I would get the XSE one but we dont have it in Australia, its GX , GXL , Cruiser and Edge , Edge only comes in Petrol model , Cruiser is your XLE , with the lot. JBL and all. So I would get that but its in high 50K here...sighhh

Personally I'm a fan of base models of cars and the Base Model RAV4 hybrid is no exception. The all steel roof, utilitarian layout, matte black everything, the cloth seats, and the physical key are huge selling points for me.

Excellent information on all of the trims! One thing I think you did leave out was that the Limited trim is the ONLY trim that offers 2-position seat memory. Sad that it's not even an option on the others.

XSE is and will forever be my first choice because I like the sportiness & also the blue stitching on the sit. Is like you forgot to mention that the XSE also lights up in the night (blue light). My question is; can I have the limited weather, technology and convenience package add to my XSE if I want it like that because I really needs that 360 camera? Or add just the limited technology package to the XSE weather and convenience package?

Hi Jeff: thanks as always for a meticulously well done video! I remain concerned about the reliability of the hybrid battery as I've heard disconcerting experiences from other folks about their hybrid battery experience. What is the hybrid battery warranty that Toyota offers on the 2019 RAV 4 ?

8 years and 100,000 mile warranty. That’s weird I haven’t heard any complaints or problems come up in my local area and I’ve been here 14 years. Normally they last a long long time with little issue.

Just bought a 2020 lunar rock rav4 and i absolutely love it. But it does have some stuff i dont like 1. The seat belt sound is too loud 2. The key cannot fit most standard keychains. Most are too big for that little loop.

Very good video, most reviewers only show the limited and not all of us got that money or want to spend. Now, I'm interested on getting rid of my 2017 Hyundai sonata 2.4 for a hybrid since I'm getting only 20 mpg and it's slow, and not practical. Excellent quality and it was cheap bit I need a crossover. I like the XSE interior and gauges, but not the exterior, too bad the lower trims dont come standard with leather steering wheel. I wish all of those safety item would of been optional since I don want to pay for them, dont need them, dont want them. Also those USB port are bot good since they dont offer Qualcomm quick charge for android, so at the end I rather have an old school outlet and I'll just plug in my quick charge charger.

Great Job Jeff, Can't live will a car/SUV that doesn't have a Smart Door Handle and push button start - XLE Hybrid is the winner for me (I've had 2nd Gen Prius and currently 4th Gen Prius - even the base models have above features) Strange?

I have an XSE in the bluprint. I have been getting between 35-50 mpg since I took delivery on April 19. Lots of power, great handling with a comfortable ride. Can anyone tell me why someone would buy a regular gas engine RAV rather than the Hybrid? The number one issue in our world today is global warming. The Hybrid addresses that issue by decreasing gas consumption by up to 50 per cent over the non hybrid.

There are Gen II Priuses going 300,000 miles on original batteries, there are two for sale right now on my local Craigslist. I've owned two Priuses over the last 10 years, and never had any issues with Toyota's hybrid system, it really is rock solid.

Great review! I liked the comparison in detail. Currently overseas and look forward to test driving and buying likely a Limited in August. Test drove the Adventure in March when I was in the States for a week and liked it vs the Mazda CX-5 and CRV .... Hybrid looks like a phenomenal buy! Excited.
