Since you said you picked the bloodfiend's arm because you wanted to use a DLC weapon specifically...if you were going to optimize this run, what weapon/build would you use? I know bloodfiend's is pretty powerful so it definitely wouldn't be a bad choice.

Would it be faster in the long run to do Varre's quest? Just need to kill Margit, Godrick, the maiden in Weeping for the cloth, do the NPC invade in Altus, then teleport straight to Mohg super early. Then you could have that OP chicken leg way earlier. Edit: I say this as I'm 10 minutes into the 2 HR video and he's killing fire giant lol.

The thing that really bothers me about NPC style bosses is they use the same mechanics as the player but their versions are absolutely insane. Like Rakshasa doing her weapon art and it gives her such insane poise that she can eat a colossal jump attack and still go through and I'm pretty sure that's not possible for a person to do. Them having giga defense and constantly input reading don't help much either, I wouldn't be mad at all if they never did another PvP style boss fight again but it's inevitable

A small thing, but pre nerf rakshasas great katana could definitely eat a colossal jump attack. Maybe that example was an overexaggeration, but oh boy I had fun with it lol
