Erich Soders is a really interesting target for me. He is literally your former boss, You see him in the tutorial and you end up killing him like that. Plus revealing yourself as Agent 47 is one of the best ways to kill any target.
Except for the fact their is no legit way to do it without getting sho at right agter you done so and also he just dies for no reason lol he see's 47 and just dies
I’m wondering why he didn’t like New Zealand but liked Isle of Sgail, as I find them both great in atmosphere but just not fun and tedious in gameplay.
i don't agree with this list, but i understand why. I think it all comes down to what you want from a Hitman game. Whether you like more dangerous environments like Colorado, or more blend-in style ones like Vermont. Either way, there's something for everyone in each game.
I didn’t expect to disagree so much with your take. It’s refreshing seeing different opinions. You pointed out your reasons so well, I can understand why you feel some way about a location. Paris was the biggest shock for me, this is one of the best locations for me, it’s a perfect way of presenting what this Hitman trilogy is all about. And, dear god, I was expecting Colorado to be one of the worst. Everytime the list went on and it didn’t show up I was worried. 15th place is too good for it, that’s a horrible map. Definitely a miss, for me.
its really underrated. it can be hard, yes, but it offers a lot of intuitive routes and kills. it provides a nice step up in difficulty from the previous maps as well.
I think Dartmoor is my favorite Hitman map because of the mobility, freedom of approach, and most of all, playing detective in the mansion. It brings me back to Nancy Drew games I used to play as a kid.
definitely my top 3. it was the first one i watched on yt and its what drew me into playing the game, i love the mission stories and there are so many opportunities for cool kills
imo Bangkok gotta be the most underrated map in the entire woa trilogy lik some of its features are very unique or funny, like having jordan cross murder ken morgan for you, revealing the murder tape and confronting cross, electrocuting him with the mic, but my favourite kill in the map, as well as my second fav kill in the game (my fav is killing silvio with the explosive golfball) where you puncture the oil tank by the tuk tuk and sabotage the motorbike as well, then add every fire extinguisher and propane tank you can. once i used so many that i blew ken all the way to the atrium roof lmao!
Bit of a weird list but I like your editing style + points you made, overall good job. the penthouse always looked forced to me because they needed somewhere to put the sisters but didn't have an area set.
Hokkaido and Paris so low :(( Honestly my favourite hitman 1 maps, Sapienza just felt overly big for the dlc content and I hated how dull some kills were because of said size. Still 3rd out of the 1 maps though.
I absolutely agree with your number one pick, it’s such a great map to explore since there’s so many rooms and tunnels. i like that you make the maps at the bottom of the list still seem like there’s some fun to be had and not completely demolishing them. Pretty fun video. (Don’t bother ranking hitman 3s new map it’s the worst for sure)
I don't play hitman but I've been binging your vids and then this came out, so... (The background music just gives me this high that I don't know how to describe)
I personally loved playing merakesh I thought the huge protest outside was really cool and the winding thin streets made it feel larger than it was . the place definitely felt like it was locked up with so many openly armed military members just watching the public. Loved the map
New Zealand is the map that made me fall in love with Hitman. I played the Tutorial (ICA) and it didn't really clicked, after that I decided to try New Zealand and then I fell in love with this Trilogy. The atmosphere is so good, the discussions between the characters are dark but funny. To me this map is a 10/10
God i really agree with Paris being towards the bottom of the list. Easily one of the most confusing and heavily secure maps in the series. There is some fun to be had with the fashion show, but it’s kind of bland compared to most of the other levels.
Berlin from HM3 imo is the best. I have a PS5, and not only does it have 2-3 top tier easter eggs in hitman history, but there is one detail that sold it for me. The rave party has so many little details. When you slowly get closer to the music, your dualsense controller mimics what its like in real life when you feel the music in your body that grows when you get closer. The controller started with this super faint type of vibration pattern that fluxuates the closer you get
I've finished 1 and 2, and I'm in the midst of 3 - so far my top fav is Carlyle - I just loved the atmosphere and the Detective aspects; it was a nice change of pace from your standard missions.
Hokkaido is my favorite map so far. Then Dartmoor comes in at 2nd. I need to replay Hitman 2 again. I played through the story one time so I didn’t complete challenges like I have with the first Hitman and Hitman 3.
I like the attention to details on every map very much! It’s very overwhelming for the first time, especially with my playstyle: perfectionism as silent assassin. So I didn’t played all the maps yet. I like the ones with darker atmosphere much more, because it makes me very tired to play on a bright map like sapienza or maledives for too long.
Man, that's amazing tier. I always see Paris and Hokkaido on top of these ranks, but as you said they become boring really really fast. The amount of times I threw Soder's heart in the trashcan to finish the level faster drives me insane. And finally someone pays some respect to Isle of Sgail! The whole concept of the secrect powerful society is cool, and the map has so much places with different mood. The fact that you can collect coins to appeal for a membership is gamechanging :) Absolutely love IoS - but the targets could've been better, ngl.
Although I may not agree on some positions I could already feel Isle of Sgail being first even before watching this. It’s just so good and impressive, and I’m so glad that someone agrees with me…
I actually had no idea Bangkok was hated. I was going to play through all the maps and then grind out my favorites but shortly after if played Bangkok I played it a ton. I really like it.
I like the zonal feeling of maps. For example in columbia you have the mansion, the underground part, the drug farm, the town, the fishing town and building site part and the forest
Then it would be logical for them to remake the OG maps from previous titles, you have all kind of missions there and bunch of them would use some more love into today's fashion.
Missions became more fun and ambitious Hitman 2 onwards. The mission in Mumbai where you intimidate the saaree seller and the murder mystery mission in Hitman 3 were *chef's kiss* My 3 favourite missions were England, Mumbai and Whittleton Creek!
Columbia is and will always be my favourite map the nostalgia playing it at Easter when I bought it eating an Easter egg and messing around is great and will always from here on out will be my favourite.
I love hitman 3 I’ve had every hitman game in the 360 era and Xbox one and PS4/5 and on hitman 3 I have all the maps which gives me so much content and I really enjoy replaying maps from previous games
I've only played the first Hitman, currently on Situs Inversus, but I think this video goes to prove that even the worst maps of this trilogy is incredibly good. I played Blood Money just before I started the trilogy, and I expected Blood Money to be superior. I was very wrong.
It's really pointless to have a missions ranked list of Hitman games because there're so many possibilities in the missions(exept the tutorial ones) and players can take different approaches/routes/ways to eliminate their targets thus everybody's opinion would vary but hey! cheers for your efforts.
Yeah but certain maps lack the creativity of kills that you can make, example if we compare every first missions, Paris and Dubai are a lot better than new Zeland for example
I really hope they continue to make more levels for this game. Like can we please have another mission that takes place during an event like in Miami? Like how about a mission that takes place at a baseball stadium?
This list absolutely sucks, I’m sorry but how are you going to rank Mumbai below Santa fortuna they’re practically the same in size, one is empty and boring to traverse where as Mumbai is actually realistic and packed with enjoyability. Paris being below Marrakesh, Colorado and Bangkok just literally makes no sense. Whittleton creek is boring af. Just a square with some houses dotted around, and locating those clues every time is boring af. Chongqing also sucks, hush is the worst target every besides Ken Morgan, he walks around a small area repeatedly and has a very underwhelming mission story, also chongqing feels far to empty and the lab below ground absolutely sucks. Berlin, in fact all the hitman 3 maps have the least replay ability and mission stories. Sorry, but your tastes are very bizarre.
I agree with you on the first 3 points, but I actually lime chonqing :/. There is A LOT more to say, like putting New York that low is an insult, and also Hokkaido should be higher.
I agree with most of your points EXCEPT Whittleton, I think they captured the feel of a suburban New England neighborhood perfectly, and the level itself is not so bad.
Well put together, good video with some interesting takes. Since playing the game, There have been maps that I didn't really like to begin with and grew to really enjoy, such as Miami and vice versa with Bangkok and Colorado (although some of these changes of mind have come about through Freelancer).
My opinion: 1. Mumbai 2. Santa Fortuna 3. Miami 4. Paris 5. Chongqing 6. Isle of Sgail 7. Berlin 8. Sapienza 9. Mendoza 10. Carpathian Mountains 11. Hokkaido 12. Dartmoor 13. New York 14. Dubai 15. Marrakesh 16. Haven Island 17. Bangkok 18. Colorado 19. Whittleton Creek 20. Hawke's bay 21. ICA facility I personally value the theme of the level a lot, as you can probably see.
I'd say my favourite map would probably be Chongqing. Purely due to the fact I'm a huge cyberpunk fan and Chongqing feels like it's been ripped straight out of a Deus Ex game.
I think we can all agree that when we played the bangkok mission, we never played it again. It's hard, frustrating, the layout is horrible, it feels stupidly cramped inside, the targets move a lot in restricted areas, and overall it's a good example of what Hitman levels SHOULDN'T be.
I've just played the third game (platinumed it, so have level 20 mastery everywhere). And Dartmoor is my Number 1, it's so amazing! Will play Hitman 2 too at some point.
the thing with hokkaido and what saves it for me is that there is one secret deep into the complex which basically unlocks the map. it involves a lot of trickery to obtain one of only two keycards in the facility (the intro in the suite lies.)...or you can get a keycard reader unlocked, use the hidden path in the hot springs and access the same secret provided you dont get caught. if you unlock the morgue starting area and have the keycard hacker stashed in the nearby storage room this becomes trivial.
I've been playing Hitman way before Dbd, but only last week did I buy and play Hitman 3 because of the epic lock. It's funny how this was recommended mere seconds after I looked up a Hitman challenge guide.
I would swap New Zealand and Carpathian mountains and I would move Paris and Marrakesh a bit higher and I fully disagree with Hokkaido when you play it more it starts to be really fun and Erich Soders is one of the most interesting targets which is hard to say because he is immobile and Mumbai is a sad one because it gets so much hate when the targets and mission stories are so good New York is hard to rank but honestly I would rank it a bit higher I am really sad with Colombia I want to love it but I can't because it is so restricted big and crowded I would put Chongquing lower I would put Vermont higher because it feels like it could actually happen and the targets are so good also Maldives is a great map and I would put it higher but I think Vermont is better Dartmoor is one of the best maps in my opinion you can literally solve or sabotage a murder mystery Dubai is a extremely good map but I would swap them still and Mendoza is one of my favorite maps and I would definitely put it higher
Sapienza is a extremely good map but very over rated and I put it lower and Isle of Sgail I try to like it but I can't the targets are boring they are extremely difficult too and the map is super restricted I would put it lower
You are plaing with the wrong aspect ratio. All youre footage is horizontally stretched and it looks offputting. You can apply the correct aspect ratio in the resolution settings of the game. The correct ratio is 16:9
The dude walking on the second floor of the Colorado hous has to be the most annoying NPC in the whole trilogy Edit: I don't agree with almost anything in this video. Take me like, tho lol
Isle of Sgail... interesting. I replayed the Kronstad-racing-asassinator map a TON, because I liked the bright visuals and the masses of people. Isle of Sgail, I only ever played Rambo mode, because the dark map started to annoy my 200 steps into the level or so. I really do not like the dark maps. It is a puzzle-game to me, and not seeing the puzzle or having to use "instinct mode" all the time is not super-appealing to me :P
I feel that Sapienza deserves the 1st place, It is much better, bigger and prettier, Isle of Sgail has several problems, It has tons of guards and its difficulty is fucking hard, It even leaves Colorado as a playground, And the 2 objectives are in places that are very difficult to access, in addition to the fact that there are too many NPCs, whether they are guards or civilians, The only good thing I see about it is its environment and its history, Other than that, I don't find anything appealing about it, And believe me, if you had a hard time getting the SA/SO in Colorado, Isle of Sgail will give you nightmares
