waldron is insane. we run swift on early downs and watch him lose yards then take him out on third downs and bring in homer who can’t catch. just use herbert early, get positive yards and use swift on 3rd downs where he is an elite pass catcher. it’s hard for me to fathom that this is the genius method he dreamed up this offseason

Love your work Robert, you are one of a kind!!! On the downside, can you please revisit Teven Jenkins? Looking at the All-22, barring a couple of rough snaps, he has played very well. PFF confirms that as he is the 22nd rated guard in the NFL and I expect that ranking to get even better. Without Tev it would be hopeless.

i dont understand the we covered the spread / we're 1-and-1 / they were in it until the end talk. the offensive players on the field were playing like they were down 50. ill react to the level they are. if they played like it was close then sure, but they didnt
man its super panic time for 3 pillars of this team we just gave contracts to... DJ - we got him for like 8 years right, and already in game 2 he's not playing hard and showing frustration?!? Man this could be an all time bad contract if this goes bad. Im hoping DJ had a fight at home or something and just wasn't right because this is not the DJ we had seen. Kmet - At least not as big a contract but ooh boy and hes a captain. Love Kole. But ooh howdy. Rome - Its a rookie contract but still. His strength was supposed to be smarts and hands and those seem to be alluding him. He was never the burner / speed guy but he was supposed to be contested ball king. Man oh man im scared. Again he's a rookie so no biggie and sometimes 1st rounders are busts but gosh darn.
I know its only the 2nd week, but this coaching staff has already had a bad record with personnel decisions, and its really not changing at all under Waldron. I would even venture to say its gotten worse under Waldron. Putting our 3rd/4th stringers in big play positions instead of the stars. WR screen passes to our TE2. Velus Jones as a KR/PR AGAIN in week 1. Little to no use of our top 10 TE two weeks in a row. O-line rotating and "waiting for RG/C position battles to play themselves out" IN SEASON?!?!? Again, I know its only week 2 but what are we doing?
I can’t help but laugh at all the overreaction and all the comparing to a QB who is in year 4 to a guy in his 2nd start ever lmao. Then you got people comparing a throw a rookie QB made in his 2nd start ever to a guy who was in his 2nd year late into the season. This fanbase deserves all the hate it gets because it’s filled with a bunch of fans who want to always be bitching about something. You got a large portion wanting the entire coaching staff fired and repeat the whole cycle again of the HC and OC and now even the GM in a QB’s 2nd year and then in 2 years those same people will be bitching about why does the Bears keep doing the same thing to QB’s even though they were the ones who were calling for those coaches to be fired lmao. It’s a rookie QB with a brand new offense and OC to the team and y’all are pissed that it doesn’t look like the Cheifs offense right away shit is comical. It doesn’t shock me the fanbase has already killed Caleb and demanding him to do things in his 2nd start ever that Fields didn’t do in 3 years and I know it’s because y’all can’t get over Fields. Funny how Fields got 3 years of excuses and fans even wanted to give him 5 years but can’t give Caleb 2 games let alone a full season. The biggest issue I have is that rookie QB is the only player taking accountability meanwhile you got a WR you just paid bitching and moaning and quitting on routes and OL that’s blaming coaching for shit that is basic football IQ of the players because he is pissed off the Bears told him he has to earn a new contract so now he is playing like he gives zero effort or fuck about what happens to the rookie QB. It’s no coincidence that out of all the receivers that if they run hard and run the right route Caleb seeks them out IE Allen in the 1st game and Carter in the 2nd game. Caleb looks like the only dude who gives a fuck on the offense and wants to be there and Allen looks like the only veteran who is actually trying to help the kid develop and teach him about the NFL game. Me personally if DJ doesn’t start acting and showing effort and playing like a 20+mil WR his ass needs to be gone off the team because that’s unacceptable leadership and effort. Caleb isn’t in the top 10 issues for why this offense isn’t functioning and neither is Waldron but again like always Bears fans blame coaching and a rookie QB instead of the others.
Huge mistake taking Odunze over Brock Bowers who was probably the best non-quarterback in the draft. Hopefully Rome can figure it out but it doesn't look good.
My only concerns with Rome so far are mental. Doesn't seem to know or grasp the playbook that well, and has numerous plays where it looks like he isn't doing the right thing, or isn't on the same page as the qb. That said, he's a rookie, and we shouldn't be depending on him that much to begin with.
Let’s be honest, if we took Brock he’d probably look like a bust too. It’s the lack of details on the offensive side of the ball that is hindering our offense and Rome individually.
@@khal7702 I'm not saying he won't be good but Bowers is a unicorn. He would have helped us on, both, the receiving part and the O-line. Rome surprises me for such a high pick in the mental part of the game. I'm rooting for him!!
