If you're experiencing a bug in the recent update on February 27th that makes your sims not be able to do interactions, it was caused by having high singing skill for some reason. However, there's a small new emergency update released on February 28th that has fixed this issue. Try updating your game once more to fix it.
MAN I can’t believe it! They didn’t make the supernatural jewellery make vampires more sun resistant! Like ik there are traits for that - but it would be a very cool addition for vampires to rely on jewellery instead of permanent traits. Also it would’ve been a cool reference!
As happy as I am that they included occult benefits, I thought they were going to separate them out instead of clustering it all in one. 😅 Like moonstone for werewolves is perfect, but I would've thought they'd have chosen quartz or amethyst for spellcasters (amplifying the effects of casting or the effects they chose), added sunstone for vampires (lower thirst decay and increase sun resistance for vampires without tier 2 thin skinned trait), and added aquamarine or chosen turquoise to benefit mermaids (gives mermaids full access to the trait-locked powers, slow hydration decay, and make the summoning an ocean threat more effective).
Ooh and plant sims could also be included in the benefits by lowering hydration decay with rose or peach (I would've chosen amazonite, but plant sims are base game). They could even make them more viable by saying they can also summon a random rock type.
I wish it had more compatibility with realm of magic, it would be cool to have our own custom wands. It would also be cool if certain crystals would ward spirits away in paranormal or increase your medium skill
Okay I know there is like no cross compatibility but hear me out my one Spellcaster makes jewelry she knows every spell you can use the duplicate spell to copy crystals and metals it's super handy when you make multiple things
A jonquil is a type of flower - also known as narcissus, and daffodil! So it's kind of cute that there's a yellow gem named after that flower (and it's just pronounced like john-quil...like ny-quil)...I only know all this bc it's my favorite flower! xD
@@SevenEllen You said that everything is replaceable. in this case, we did not receive any cheats. It's a bit confusing. if everything was complicated and had a challenge, it would be useless to many at all, because they are replaceable anyway. so do you want the jewelry to be more difficult to access, or would this pack make it less desirable? It's not clear what the people want at all.
Maybe the real 'problem' is that we all play differently. The only thing that's clear with any of The Sims games in what we want from it is it the ability to apply as much of our imaginations with these games. I guess that's why I'm so frustrated with The Sims 4; I so often feel cheated by it, ripped off and let down by something that had the potential to be something as special as it's predecessors but was let down because the company detracted from the quality control team, the creativity team, and the players by taking what they previously had and giving them unfinished versions broken into smaller, more expensive pieces. Anyway, enough about the crystals pack. I don't mind that we don't see eye to eye about it. It's just a piece of a much bigger, messier puzzle. On the good side, I still have The Sims 2 and the original Sims game. Maybe it's just time I took a break and enjoyed them again for a while. :-)@@tori_aviator
@@tori_aviator I wouldn't want the jewelry to be more difficult to access, no, that's not what it's about. People made clear for ages what they wanted was cars, spiral staircases, and, for the LONGEST time, horses and bunkbeds, but EA ignored the overwhelming demand, which, from a business stand-point was insane! They could have raked in a fortune with the Vehicles Stuff Pack. Remember when you could fly a HELICOPTER to work in The Sims 2?? Or a UFO in The Sims 3?? It was awesome!!

I wish these features would've been fused with some pack, like maybe paranormal or some new pack because 10€ just for this is just too much I don't think it'd be worth it
They missed the opportunity to make sun rings for vampires! I think I might get this pack when it'll be on sale, and I hope that by then there's good mods for it, cause the concept sounds really cool
Ah, so it's all reward, zero risk? Kinda sucks. Game's already easy enough as it is, so would've really loved to see some adverse effects to using these ornaments/jewels. Thanks for the video, Abi!
@@egel7736 its just jewels. You can doing them more useful (its a first reason why they are have thos) or just use like jewels if you dont mind about useless beauty.
I had just found out about this Game Pack this morning on my EA App and I am super excited. Even though I don't yet have the pack, I know about changing environmental settings and all I have to do is reset my lunar phase option to Full Moon and turn off the lunar cycle option in which would give me faster recharge results for my gemstones if I could play it for near future gameplay. These features sound.... Super...🤯 amazingly awesome!😂
Nice to see all the crystals in action! I'm fine with most of them being simple buffs, especially since a few are extremely overpowered. XD Definitely want that Moonstone, though, my trio of occult farmers could really use the benefits. :)
Although this pack's not for me, I always appreciate it when they can expand upon the base game like with this pack utilizing already existing secret lots
I have been bumping off sims with my Spellcaster's spells and not once has the grilled cheese thing appears and I haven't been able to access that grilled cheese milestone asperation since the "Stranger Ville" Expansion Pack, first I tried to bring it up with the Cooking skills, then I tried to bump off other sims and tried to use the aspiration milestone cheat to make my sim fulfilled enough to gain the grilled cheese aspiration, I even used the six personality traits to achieve that, and I try to keep my sim within the 50,000 budget. I don't understand why when I was able to do it during the early status of the gameplay but unable to do it in the now fully loaded stream of the game?

Do we know anything about the range of Shaped Crystal powers? I made a Skull-Shaped Hematite Crystal. Does it protect against death for the whole lot, a single floor, just one room, or a certain range in meters? If I set it outside, does it only cover outdoors, or the house as well? I don't see this mentioned in the video and the item itself doesn't say either?
The levels are funny to me. Like 0-10 its like (Hey you can gain more crystals and be a bit fast and unlock crafting another x10) its a repeat. I'd rather design so that you can start with rings and then to headpieces (like a crown or tiara) and make different type of jewelry. The levels should also come with (hey you cant access certain power yet) and make a jewelry design career or freelancing or side gig participation. You could do more, its just that they seem lackluster.
I wish we could get headpieces too! I was thinking crowns and tiaras too as well as the incredible headpiece that came with MWS that was from Indian culture I think?
Other than hematite and jet, all of these are so lame and pointless 🥲 people whinge about practical magic from RoM giving no new gameplay and just acting as cheat codes... this is abysmal. Thank you for the guide anyways, Abi ❤
@@mall0wfluff - Yeah, they run out of juice every two days and they don't work while charging. The upkeep is the price to be paid for the extra buffs. Having made several pieces already, I can see that part is going to be a bit of nuisance.
Oh, I am so disappointed. There is zero challenge, zero penalty. I thought it would be in the same vibe as paranormal, but not at all... Well, at least it looks nice.
@@alexdelaloire8739 I don't mind that there isn't a new career. I was mainly thinking about challenges in terms of gameplay. Potential dangers that my sims could encounter in jewelry crafting (overloading, failed summoning, etc.). In short, I don't want it to be too easy.

@@jaybee4288 - People have been saying the same thing for years about My First Pets Stuff, but EA gonna EA, and maybe they didn't think of it back then, or didn't have it nearly fleshed out enough in time for RoM release. With so much cross-pack content, I think it came at a good time. It supplements pretty much everything.
WHY THEY NEVER CARE ABOUT ADDING MORE ABILITIES TO MERMAID???! JUST WHY??? EVEN WITH THESE NEW CRYSTALS, THEY COULD PUT ONE ABILITY FOR MERMAID TO UNLOCK WITH THESE CRYSTAL..BUT THEY NEVER CARE
It's pretty clear that this pack is just a small expansion on the crystals, since before, they were just an object of decoration or something to get some extra simoleons from. Although I do wish they had made it a whole new idea, and did more with it, it's pretty clear that they just wanted to expand a little on what they already had.
If I'm not mistaken, didn't Get Famous come with a crystal crown that already does half of the benefits included with this pack? I'm tired of a 'new feature' being something that was previously introduced, but upgraded.
Then the pack isn’t for you and you shouldn’t buy it? A lot of us love to make jewellery and love crystals. Not everyone will like every pack. I’m tired of people always complaining about sims, no one forced you to play.
Thats the first after a long time when I'm genuinely excited for new pack. I love crystals and stones in real, also I'm big fan of anything more or less supernatural in games so it's actually perfect for me. I didn't have actual play through in this game for quite long, now it's my chance. I think it might be fun
It is underwhelming... But I like the fact that... At least they added something, if the Stuff Pack was just creating jewlry and nothing else... It would be VERY DISAPPOINTING,
these features are really nice and add more purpose to the pack. Though, I'm a bit disapointed: I wish we culd more bad features to make cursed jewerly that Sims could give to enemies...
Such a missed opportunity for NEGATIVE effects and the ability to make cursed jewellery (e.g. making sims more likely to die when using a vending machine/Murphy bed/etc.). Especially if other sims immediately wear what you gift to them! A range of negative consequences for existing crystals have also prevented somewhat repetitive/similar effects being listed.

Halo kak, aku jawab pake bahasa indo yaa 1 dan 3. Waktu itu aku jalur SBMPTN (tes nasional gitu, kurang tau sekarang namanya apa ya), dan UNS pilihan ke 3. Pas 1-2 bulan sbelum SBMPTN bener2 gak nyentuh sims sama sekali karna fokus belajar. Sama selama di FK juga sebenarnya kalau diliat schedule video2 channel aku gak konsisten (kadang gak upload 6 bulan, 3 bulan, kadang 1 bulan bisa berapa kali upload) karena kesibukan saat itu. Kalau lagi musim ujian gak nyentuh, kall lagi lenggang boleh lah main. Oh iya sama saat di univ aku udah gak terlalu sering main sims for fun atau buat mainin save sendiri gitu, kebanyakan main sims buat bikin konten atau video aja hehe tapi tetep seru bagi aku kok. 2. Of course, tapi buat FKnya aja ya. Setau aku FK UNS akhir2 ini sering masung ranking top 5 Indonesia, terakhir top 3 apa kalo gasalah. Tapi beda2 ya sumbernya. Goodluck yaa! Can you wear multiple jewelry with the same enchantments which will enhance each other? For example: having two rings that make energy decay slower make it double decay slower?
The one for amber imo is pretty bad. I think they should've just added more new crystals and spread out stuff a bit more. I'd love to be able to use amber to help my low level cooking sims to not have to worry as much about fires, but I don't want it to be constantly sunny either or for the weather to change a bunch from taking it off/putting it on. And I wouldn't want the making it sunny part be entirely gone either, because that would be handy for if you for example want to have a wedding but the weather is gonna be bad.
I have been playing the sims since it came out. Up until recently. I would purchase every pack. No matter the issues. Since For Rent I have been really put off. I no longer buy the packs and am still having issues in my game.

I think this is fun for gameplay and storytelling. Seems like it works well with Realm of Magic as well. I'm still not gonna give EA my money, but it's a solid concept.
