Oh my goodness! I finally see the Prussian Blue in a video! Brilliant! Prussian Blue! Surprisingly, it still looks natural to the naked eye. It's kind of an earthy tone like if you found a soft smooth stone in the woods with that color. Velvet looking, too. It just LOOKS soft. Like you want to HUG IT!
Rewatching this video! I wish they would restock these! 😭😭😭 I just ordered the Schuyler Stridon ESV, Full Yapp Desert Camel Calfskin Bible since it’s now available for pre-orders! But you definitely influenced me in doing so!
I think the blue looks the best of the three, but wouldn’t like that floppy. I just ordered the Wellington version yesterday. It’s my first premium bible
It's a difficult toss up but I think I like the green the most because of the marbleness and midway floppy. They are just so beautiful!!! Amen Alleluia
Thanks Tim, and esp for reviewing the floppiness of each cover so that we know what we are getting there, I love that. I like the olive and the sienna!
Any of the three would be awesome, but I think my favorite is the Prussian blue! I like the softer, floppier Italian like you said. Thanks for such a helpful review!
Love all 3 of them. I preordered the olive green. I will order the Siena if they offer it in the ESV Quentel FY with the apocrypha and I will order the Prussian Blue if they offer it in either the NKJV Quentel FY or the CSB Quentel FY in the future. Schuyler just keeps raising the bar with all these new editions!
I like the blue, but my concern is that it's too floppy to handle. I have a Cambridge Clarion in goatskin and I find that it's too floppy. One of these would likely replace it.
I purchased mine yesterday I can’t wait I wanted A Bible that doesn’t have references all my other bibles have references notes so I wanted one that I can enjoy reading and studying the word
Tim, thanks for all the amazing videos you share with us! I am reaching out to see if you could provide all the reminders you have work with and know of? I’d appreciate it!
The olive green is my favorite…it’s hard to choose although the gilding on the green is speaking to me 😊 I wish maybe some day I'll get a special bible like these, but till then I'm happy to have the Bible that I have❤
Such a hard choice! Leather-wise, I like something like the green (not too floppy, not too rigid). Color-wise, I think I’m somewhere between the sienna and the Horween. So maybe I’m waiting (not so) patiently. 🤪
Wow. Blue is my favorite color and green is a close second. That green would make a wonderful collection companion to the green LSB handy size rebind I won from Jeffery Rice. Thing is I prefer the Omega block.
Looking forward to this! It'd also be awesome if you could do a comparison of these three editions with the Heirloom Heritage in black goatskin and/or in Wellington leather. I think the Heritage is my favorite layout design for the ESV, but there are several Heritages to choose from now! I guess we're blessed with a variety of choices. :)
Just received the Olive Green style today since Crossways has began to ship them. All I can say is wow as to the feel and beauty of these editions. I was unfamilar with ESV versions but must say they are my favorite by far. The Readers edition allows one to read and mediate on Gods word without commentary from a scholar which I find is refreshing to me. I am Roman Catholic and our version is The New American Bible which I find to be too bland. It lost the beauty of the KJV poetics. This version is modern language but retains the KJV poetics. Simply amazing. Thank you and others on You Tube that take the time to review Bibles so one has an idea how they differ and can make an informed choice.
Ok the green is definitely my favorite, wish it also had a blind stamp. I hope they bring it as a psq for either the ESV or the CSB. I've been waiting forever to be able to buy one of them in a style I like. I don't think the CSB PSQ will get a new print anytime soon, which is a bummer, especially a FY tuscany. Nubuck patinas really nicely, especially where you manipulate it the most.
Hi. That Italian Anline Siena Calfskin is gorgeous! Better yet, it's going to change overtime, metamorphosis, into something more beautiful, deeper, richer, yummier. I have the Full Yapp Tuscany Italian Quental and it's changing. Siena is hot. Wish the olive would have turned out better, like more drabby. Love the font in all of them. Single column is perfect! Send me the blue one. I want to touch it. Great job Crossway.
I got the Prussian Blue and the Olive Green. The olive Green, isn’t green at all it’s just brown lol. It doesn’t even feel anything like the Desert Camel. Feel like I got ripped off on that one
I mean, if you're looking to thin out the collection and would like to bless an associate pastor with the sienna calfskin version, I might know someone haha
The Sienna is my favorite. The color is so rich and amazing. Unfortunately I would never be able to afford one of those Bibles. I am a widow of 2 years, and live on disability. Congratulations to anyone who is able to afford a premium Bible.❤
from what you said it sounds like these leathers are coming to the rest of the heirloom collection, are they cause I love the green skin, but don't like the look of a single column bible. Preferably they release the whole line in these covers(especially the Omega). If you know whether they're planning on expanding these covers to the rest of the line I would love to know.
