I turned 18 not long ago so ive only owned a couple, still have them all and ill have them for the foreseeable future. My work cars a 78' ford escort panel van, and my daily is a 66' HD holden, i also have a 78' Chrysler Valiant CL. Cant go wrong with a big chrome front. Beautiful cars, although i wouldn't recommend any of them if your targets fuel efficiency
Dang, you've got some old stuff! I wanted my first car to be a classic, but it never came to be. Plus I drive a lot, so fuel efficiency matters at least a little bit.
I think we are about the same regarding our trucks. I bought my 1997 Ram 1500 back in the mid 2000s sometime. Can't remember the exact year. I saw it listed on Ebay and it was fairly local to me being just across the border in Maine. It had 60 some odd thousand miles on it and was very affordable. Now it only got about 102K miles which is nothing for a 5.9L and it's paid for. It hauls my boat back and fourth across the state and stuff to the dump when I need it to. When I bought it one of the tail pipes was rusted off so it needed a new exhaust, the water pump leaked so that had to be replaced and maybe a year in the heater core rotted out and leaked so I had to replace that. Since then it's just been routine maintenance. Because it's so old it's cheap to insure and due to it being a South Carolina truck originally it has very little rust and I don't drive it in the winter so it never gets much worse. I plan on keeping it forever unless something major fails on it.
Mine had the intake manifold replaced before I bought it, and has a custom exhaust from the previous owner, so all that stuff was taken care of. Mine's a Georgia truck but has been in Michigan since 2019. It now has one rust hole on the passenger's side dog leg of the quarter panel, but that's it. The frame still has black paint from the factory on it, and the rockers and underside of the body look new.
Nice! Yes I loved my van. I owned it for the shortest amount of time of all my vehicles and it was still my favorite. My long-standing favorite before that by far was the Explorer. It's still neck and neck with the van, but I think the van edges it out BARELY. Just because it got better fuel economy, had a better ride, and had just a little bit more cargo space.

I MIGHT make a video on it but it's kind of a bad story, lol. It's actually more physically repulsive and evil than disgusting, what happened to it, but I might, regardless.
