This piece is not Red Cedar.Looks to be Red Pine throughout.Drawer bottoms ( lucky if they're solid timber,not plywood) look to be Kauri (Karri?)Pine.

Why didn't you put oxalic acid on the top to reduce that black stain on the top???

This piece deserved to have the huge ink stain on the top removed.

Why didn't you remove the ink stain on top. It looks terrible and it could have been corrected.

I think it's a real shame that you left so much of that ink stain on the top. I feel it spoils the finish .
