I(pink car) was so nervous to hit you when I saw you joined that I braked in the first corner, got bumped and never got in the groove after that. All I thought the rest of the race was "I´m gonna be the first one in the carnage sequence lol" Anyway was so cool to at least have started a race with you Dave. Love your content!

I swear I’ve never seen faster drivers than legends drivers on this sim. The amount of speed these guys carry with no mistakes in these unforgiving cars is wild to say the least. Oval is one thing but around track these dudes understand this sim inside and out. I race there’s IRL and can’t even touch the P1-P2 guys

Legends cup seems like a perfect series for D class. Cars are well behaved and momentum oriented, so all of the focus in on making good moves. Not running Cadwell this week (way too much Fuji and Indy to learn) but looking forward to trying it out in the future.

@@davthacker they're a lot of fun, and you have to be delicate with your inputs and keep as much speed up through corners as possible. At Charlotte last week a number of quick guys were really hanging it out and sliding the rears but tyre wear came in to play massively late in the race. I think these would make a good dark horse candidate for driving before going to LMP3

When you went into fifth gear, you actually had your highest speed going into that corner. You usually hit about 168 miles an hour in fourth gear or kilo meters per hour. When you went into fifth gear, you hit 170 km/h.

What a series! This is one of those where I wished you'd have a different license for every single series / car type. Seems super fun but I wouldn't risk my Sportscar license in it because it surely has dedicated people only racing it.

Amazing combo, one of the best on iRacing, but sadly a diminished experience due to the lack of participation. These cars should have a rookie series to teach people about tire management.

The power sliding is making your exits so much slower than they should be. The cause is your entry with you trying to achieve too high a minimum speed by the apex. You would be much quicker in totality of a lap, aiming for a slightly lower minimum speed and letting the car complete a little more rotation in the middle of the corner (i.e. when you are at your slowest but also highest rate of turning/rotation) before getting back on the power. It will feel wrong at first as you're getting on the power later (at first) but if you do this it will actually be faster because when you get on the power now, that power will actually be working to accelerate you out of the corner exit instead of just spinning the rear tyres and making your corner take longer to complete. Just as too much under rotation of your tyres (e.g. when locking) leads to (severely) reduced deceleration potential, so too when overly over rotating of the your tyres (e.g. wheel spin) leads to (severely) reduced acceleration potential. TLDR; In an attempt to be fast, you're over driving the car, leading you to drive to a lower limit, making you slow.

Dave i just found out that us guys that didn't make the drawing for the 1st split for your legends league won't ever get to race with you or get on your stream. That's unfortunate! Part of the reason we did the test race a few months ago and signed up on day 1 when you announced it was to be able to interact with you and race on your channel. Why don't you alternate each week? 1st week with one split and then switch the next week? That would still be fair for everyone and we all get a chance to race with you!

Sorry buddy. It's been difficult to get everyone in, but still male the racing manageable along with the broadcast. Those that didn't make it, or make split one this time will be there next time. 👍 I plan on doing more community racing throughout the season so we'll get to race 😁

Change points in a real life legend is 9000 rpm, shouldn’t rev it that hard. I think iRacing have the wrong diff ratio too compared to the real life car

Really sorry Dave but there is no way I can get through a whole video of these cars. I've tried twice now and the reason is weird, I know but here goes. I'm epileptic and the constant high pitched whine of that Yamaha gets right inside my skull to the point where I feel a seizure coming and have to turn off so again SORRY but I will avoid these vids in future. Can I also gently suggest that you being SO negative about everything you're doing from before a race even starts is really off putting too. None of us expect you to be perfect or run away with every race but you basically have been telling us that you're rubbish and you have no chance ever, so why bother? Don't beat yourself Dave before you even start. I've only noticed that happening fairly recently and it's not a good development for an otherwise brilliant channel to watch. Sorry if I'm being too negative but I felt I needed to say something. See you definitely in the next vid m8 and stop being so hard on yourself. 😀

I'm not being hard on myself, I'm just explaining the struggle, that's what I do. I explain when things are going well, what I'm thinking, but also the other side when it's not going great. If I didn't say anything it'd be a pretty quiet video (apart from the engine of course which I agree gets annoying). 😁
