What do you make of the Pendlay row, lads? They allow me to move a lot more weight than rows from the hang. Any benefits/drawbacks to them?
@sikastrength
@sikastrength 3 года назад
They're usually reliant on momentum by the time you get to the top of the row which isn't what you want

There is not much of a difference between chin ups and pull ups when it comes to the lats. They are very similar with a minor difference in bicep and upper back activation.
@alexvat1995
@alexvat1995 2 года назад
@Enphlegminguous Check the research instead of guessing man. I have pushed both pull ups and chin ups to extremes, and I can add that my personal experience aligns with the evidence.

How often would you do prone back extensions? And what's a good target? E. g. A 2 minute hold?

Hiya lads, wondering if you can help us with this; I'm a ~75kg lifter at 6ft 3, 20 yrs old and a 55kg snatch and 75kg c&j. My coach says I should be around 100kg in the next couple of years for my height. However, I'm pretty apprehensive about putting too much weight on and getting fat, as I recently lost a bunch of weight from around 110kg. How much weight should I aim to put on per year to stay at a relatively healthy bodyweight, but still Improve my lifts? Cheers lads 👍
@jamesbedwell8793
@jamesbedwell8793 3 года назад
At 75kg, 6'3" you're pretty skinny, so you shouldn't be too worried about gaining weight--I'm 5'9" and 75kg, at about 15% bf. I reckon you'll top out at about 100kg but that could take a while. Look to gain maybe 10 kg a year, maybe a bit more. You will probably gain more fat than muscle but you'll hit 100kg in 2.5 years and you'll be a jacked 100kg in 4 or so. Make sure to keep training those accessories and you'll be huge in no time.
@angusroewl7206
@angusroewl7206 3 года назад
@@jamesbedwell8793 yeah dude, I'm around 17-19% bf, might just aim for around a kilo a month and see where I end up in a year or so. I think its just something I'm overthinking honestly
